The St. Regis Venice

Extremely disappointed with The St. Regis Venice. I returned to find my room door ajar; housekeeping forgot to close it properly after servicing the room. When I complained to the front desk, I didn't even get an apology. In Italy, where thieves are rampant, such casual service from a hotel is truly unbelievable. The service was arrogant and completely lacked the rigor expected of a five-star hotel. Thankfully, nothing was lost, but I'm very disappointed with the entire team's indifferent attitude.

A wonderful hotel with a perfect location and amazing views. We booked a room overlooking the Grand Canal, and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff was excellent, and the concierge service was very convenient; they even let us check in early. My only minor complaint is that I repeatedly reminded them it was my wife's birthday, but she wasn't congratulated at the restaurant until I explicitly asked them to do so in front of her. However, I must note that they did decorate the room, gave her flowers, and provided wine, though I assume different departments handle these services. Overall, I recommend the hotel, though it is quite expensive.

This hotel stay was quite good overall. Everything about the hotel was decent, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and polite!

I booked the Grand Canal Luxury Room two months in advance for 16,000 RMB per night. Upon check-in, I was given a standard room, which was so small I couldn't even open my luggage. I spoke with the front desk, and they told me the Grand Canal Luxury Room I booked was fully occupied and only this room type was available. I immediately called Trip.com. After a long discussion between Trip.com and the hotel, they finally offered a slightly larger canal-view room. I am extremely dissatisfied with the hotel's management and service. How can a chain hotel under a global group operate like this? I give it a bad review! The hotel's room rate does not match its quality at all! The breakfast selection was limited, and the staff were arrogant! Avoid this hotel!
