Hotel Heureka

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Arrived late and received a warm welcome. The vibe is cool but not at all pretentious. The aesthetic throughout the building, an old palazzo, combines the features of the palazzo, exposed brick for example, tastefully with modern necessities. The staff were wonderful, the night porter was a gentleman, the highlight though was the kitchen staff, Beata and Sonya. Really lovely, sincere and the breakfast was top class. The location is good; plenty of bars and restaurants nearby in Cannaregio, spent Saturday night in the area, plenty of life around the place but not too late. Really enjoyable to wander towards St. Mark's from the hotel.

A magnificent boutique hotel off the noisy byways of Venice. This hidden gem is easily accessible by water taxi from the airport and provide a jumping off point that makes it easy to get to the popular spots in Venice without being in the midst of the crowds. The staff was amazingly attentive and exceeded our expectations in every way. Even the night manager made me a coffee before we headed out on our 4 a.m. water taxi. The weather was not ideal, but when it is, I expect the courtyard to be a tranquil oasis for guests and a nice retreat when you need a break. The interior decorations are luscious and comfortable. You really need to see it to understand. Breakfast was more than ample and the staff did everything they could to make your time at the Hotel Heureka a memorable one.

This is how to do a boutique hotel. Every square inch of this magnificent re-invented palatial town house on a peaceful canal in Cannaregio has been thought through carefully and lovingly. It really is perfect but also interesting and cosy. Also all of the staff are attentive and welcoming while allowing you to be private and enjoy the house as if it is your own (for the short time you’re there!)

Hotel Heureka promised a luxurious Venetian experience and did not disappoint. The hotel itself is beautifully and stylishly decorated, with quality furnishings. The layout of the hotel and atmosphere made for a really calming and peaceful experience. The breakfasts were generously portioned too. But what made the whole experience 5 star were the members of staff who couldn't do enough for me, from before arrival, all the way through to departure: they were friendly, accommodating, and generous. Thank you for making my holiday so enjoyable.

Where do I begin. Just back from a surprise birthday trip, as a couple staying in the magnificent hotel. The rooms are just beautiful. Little did I know that my children were also staying and the amazing staff had to shield them from being seen for a couple of days before the reveal! It is the staff here that made this the most wonderful experience for us. They went above and beyond. Special mention the the lovely Bertha, who arranged breakfast and kept everyone apart. The breakfast when we were all united was fit for a queen. The whole room was so beautiful. Bertha you are fantastic! Thank you. Housekeeping, you are amazing ladies, our room was kept spotless, we thank you. Franco, sorted everything , concierge extraordinaire! Thank you, one and all. What a privilege to have stayed in this hotel.

This was our third stay at this hotel and I wouldn’t choose anywhere else in Venice. It’s a tranquil haven from the frenetic throngs of tourists. The decor is stylish, the rooms beautifully presented and the service is impeccable. Very close to a choice of lovely restaurants in Fondamenta Misericordia.

We were staying in the bustling centre (in the usual overpriced rathole) and had a meeting with row Venice who suggested popping in for a coffee while we waited. What a eureka moment indeed: the perfectly select bar, the perfect breakfast, but most of all your own palazzo in a quiet nook 3 turns off the crush and bustle of the crowds. It took all of thirty seconds for us to decide to ditch the rathole (Foresteria Levi- they kept our money) and for a few euros more stay in the loveliest place we’ve been in Italy. Absolute kudos to the staff who were attentive without being obsequious, and owners who have resisted the temptation to cash in.

Second stay at Heureka and it is still perfect. Away from the crowds we feel very much at ease and at home in this intimate Palazzo with beautiful rooms and plenty of common places where to unwind, read and simply contemplate. The marvellous well-kept private walled garden is another haven even in winter. Our room was superb -thank you again - overlooking the garden, with a view of Madonna del Orto and the islands. The Team’s welcome and attention/care was exquisite and faultless throughout the week: Diana and Beata were so friendly and efficient, whether for evening cocktails or à la carte delicious breakfasts of the highest caliber. When the hôtel is booked up, there should be two staff members at Breakfast as all meals are freshly cooked and prepared so it gets a bit hectic: this would be a plus for the staff and for the guests’ expérience. The food is wonderful. Another Lovely lady at the front desk along with the kindest and most knowledgeable Man Franco -Clefs d’Or concierge- enhanced our stay: enjoyable conversations, always a kind word to inquire about our plans or how the day went…. Very good housekeeping and refined decor. Heureka is a place to discover, enjoy and return to, and for us it is part of our expérience in Venice everything year.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. A jewel nestling beautifully in Canareggio, a quieter and beautiful part of Venice. The hotel is exquisitely designed, and the rooms also very stylish with wonderfully comfortable beds and high quality bed linen. There’s a large, sunny and well designed garden. The service was terrific - professional, super helpful and friendly. Truly, I would rate this hotel 6 out of 5 if I could.
