Worst customer service and worst hotel experience of my whole life and I’ve traveled a lot. Whoever works there or owner screamed at me at the phone, telling me he’s moved my booking to their sister hotel and I have got no message about that whatsoever. Hung up on me on the phone leaving us stranded in Venice. DO NOT BOOK

service is terrible. the workers are very rude. the man at the reception allowed himself to speak insults at me. they didn’t let me into the previously paid room, and when I threatened them with the police, they demanded some 4 euros as a bribe 😂. in general, we understood about 3 hours and I achieved my settlement. DISGUSTING. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

This is a difficult one as the hotel is in a great location with very sweet staff although there's too few of them meaning, the reception was left unattended many times during the day. I had a single room with bathroom. Perfectly respectable but it had a very small TV too high on the wall so, impractical beyond measure. I was kindly loaned a kettle to make my bought tea. I also had to ask for my room to be serviced twice in the 6 days I stayed. I never had enough shower gel and went from used towels for two days to 6 fresh ones!!! It very lovely but it lacked comfort in my single room. Good for a few days and keeping yourself very busy!

I have never been to a hotel before where the workers there are so incredibly rude and thoughtless. I should have read more reviews before I went there because you can see every time anyone says anything bad, they respond in the most rude and mocking way. Incredibly disrespectful. And that’s exactly how they treated us during our stay. This place was so disgustingly dirty. Tiny rooms like a hospital or a dorm room. And absolutely disgusting beds. Dirty with visible insects crawling on it.

Location was great and service was good! After reading all the bad reviews we honestly weren't expecting much, but in the end were very satisfied with our stay. The room didn't have air conditioning and the toilets and showers were quite small, but the hotel was very cheap so we felt like we were getting exactly what we paid for. Check in & out went smoothly and the bed was comfortable. One weird thing was that in one day the staff came knocking on our door like five times, seemingly for no reason. Once for cleaning service, which we told them we did not need. The other four times we dont know what they wanted. They knocked once and if we did not answer they just opened the door. That we didn't really like.

Very good location in the quieter town of Venice but just a short walk to the center. You get what you paid for (I stayed first week of December and was inexpensive) and I would be happy to stay again. Very good size room, working wifi and just somewhere to have as a base when you are out exploring all day. Great cafes, shops, restaurants and bars nearby (round the corner infact) where you can get a bottle of water and a crossaint for 1 euro 50 cents. Glass of wine is 3 euros. Slice of pizza 2 euros from a delicious stall. Meal in a restaurant around 9 euros. Would defo stay again at Hotel Iris.

i stayed around new year’s and booked late so the positives are it was clean and cheap and when i complained about my first room they changed it. also location is good. negatives was first room i got should never have given to me as the smell of sewage was so bad i couldn’t sleep. second room did not have a smell but oh my god it was so cold. the heating hardly worked. the bathroom was so cold too. hot water only in morning. one night wd have been fine but 3 nights were not enjoyable. the hotel is shabby and worse for wear and not much of the charming venice decor you get in other mid range hotels which if i had booked earlier wd have been same price, warm and with a free breakfast (iris doesn’t do breakfast)

A very good hotel in central Venice, close to everything! I had a super good stay in a clean room with a big bathroom, could not have asked for more, A very good hotel for the price. And the owner Andrea and the girl in the recpention was very cheerful and more than happy to help and recommend things to do in Venice!
