Phenomenal Venetian palace utilised as a hotel with a choice of rooms. We stayed in a junior Segrado suite, the room itself was decorated in traditional Venetian attire, and was well presented, comfortable bed and good cleanliness. Undoubtedly the highlight of the room though was the rooftop terrace accessed through stairs within the room, and provided views of the Grand Canal, and Venice by roof, absolutely wonderful. Only improvement for the room could be tea and coffee facilities, however you could always get hot water and cups from the restaurant/bar staff The hotel itself exudes Venetian character and wonderfully stately but yet unpretentious ambience. There are many communal rooms with fantastic decorative pieces aligning the ceilings and walls. The breakfast was good, and the waiters were all very helpful. The staff were of an exceptionally high calibre, very welcoming, no request too much, a special mention to Michael the night porter/front desk gentlemen who helped provide concierge services to us, recommended and booked some of our dinners for us as well as made recommendations on where to go during the day, a real shining star of the Ca’Sagredo team. Positioned on the grand Canal and almost centrally in Venice it is well situated for exploring the landmarks, side streets and reaching the public transport for exploring over islands. Overall a 5* rated experience, we would definitely stay again.

A lovely hotel in a quiet area, yet only a few minutes walk to all the sights. I had a few queries before visiting which were answered very quickly via email. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The man on the reception desk had an encyclopaedic knowledge of Venice and all her sights and places to eat. He was also very interested in our experiences of his recommendations on our return. The room was clean and comfortable. A small fridge was provided as well as a bottle of water. Top tip: keep the bottle and refill from the water fountain around the corner. The location is excellent. It is wonderful sitting having breakfast in a café nearby, listening to the swifts calling overhead in the cool morning air. Breakfast was provided but we declined as we wanted to be up and out early. You need to provide payment card details so any damage can be paid for but this is fairly standard. It is communicated on the website. Also a city tax is payable but this is very small in comparison to city taxes elsewhere in the world. I don’t know why people are still surprised by these things. I can only think that they don’t research. To the staff: Thank you for making my daughter and I feel so welcome and making our room up to our needs. We really enjoyed our time in Venice and when I return with the rest of the family in the future your hotel will be our first choice.

We recently stayed at this hotel and we have to say it was an exceptional experience. We had a room overlooking the canal…just magical! This room was extremely large not only for European standards, but also for American standards. As others have said, Rami the owner is a colorful character. He made us feel so welcome and truly made our stay enjoyable. We ate dinner in the restaurant located within the hotel on 2 evenings. Not only was the food exceptional, but there was live music. We didn’t want our dinner to end. We loved the location of this hotel. It was far enough way from all the tourists, but close enough to the tourist sites. About a 7-9 min walk to St. Mark’s Square. There is also a supermarket and laundermat close by. We would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a hotel. We will definitely stay here again on our return visit to Venice. Thank you to Remi and the staff for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic base for our honeymoon in Venice, located within good distance to the main attractions in Venice, reception staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable on places to visit and restaurant's to try and organising private airport transfers. Being our honeymoon, they also helped me surprise my new wife with champagne and strawberries in the room. Definitely recommend

The location of this hotel is great no complaints about it, the stuff is nice friendly and helpful too. The room itself is old without anything other than beds cardboard and a very old school hair dryer. I don’t know why but they don’t even have something to hang the toilet paper which is pretty funny. The 1st day the housekeeper was good we came back to a nicely cleaned room, the 2nd day was like the housekeeper just did what the eyes can see they never even clear away the old towels and all. If a short stay for the location it’s alright but as a 4 star hotel I have no idea how they got it.

We stayed this place but you have to check in at the Santa Marina Hotel (in the opposite building) it’s all connected. Truly impressed with the room, little penthouse room overlooking the roof tops of Venice. The room was spotless clean (so well done to the cleaners they do an excellent job). The breakfast had many options and every morning you were asked if you wanted ‘scrambled egg/bacon’ or ‘pancakes’ you can also opt for both. You’ll also be asked if you want tea/coffee/orange juice - again we said yes to everything. The coffee was delicious 🔥 and the orange juice was … wow 🤩 the breakfast staff were so lovely and welcoming. The rooms were so clean, plenty of towels, good shower unit bed extremely comfortable. Had extra pillows and duvets in the wardrobe. Perhaps the only fault - is we were up the top floor and there is plenty of steep steps up, there is no lift, someone with mobility issues may find this difficult. On the top floor we heard nothing it was if the room was sound proof. I loved it here and would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic 9/10 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ don’t forget to tip the cleaners they don’t get enough credit for all there hard work. With love from Ireland 🇮🇪 🍀

A three night stay in Venice to celebrate a big birthday. The trip was offered at a knock down price by Travelodeal. Hotel Santa Marina was unknown to us but it proved a very good choice. Mind you, you have either to know Venice to find it or, as we did, take a water taxi: it’s hidden away in a courtyard accessed through twisting, tiny streets. Check in was straight forward, although the concierge on duty appears a bit of a misery. We were, however, escorted to room 101 by a very pleasant colleague who proved a delight throughout the stay; thank you. The room is quite small; indeed, the right wardrobe door cannot be opened fully because it bumps into the bed, but that’s a minor trouble as the latter proved very comfortable. There is no view beyond rooftops, but so what. The bathroom is tiny but perfectly adequate. Towels etc were changed daily and the maid was excellent. The hotel has no restaurant. The bar appears rarely used: you have to ding a bell to seek service but it is not always answered. When it is, the merlot is nice and, at E3 a glass, cheap for Venice. The experience which will linger, however, is the breakfast. It really is excellent: plenty of continental breakfast alternatives and, as I discovered on the first morning, wonderful scrambled eggs and bacon and, found by my wife, impressive pancakes with fruit or other toppings. The ladies at morning service are a delight, quick and efficient. The location is also convenient for Rialto and then St Mark’s square: an easy stroll, when you discover which exit from the courtyard to use. Check out was easy; you can pay the local tax by card. So, I can recommend Santa Marina to all.
