Everything about our brief, one-night stay was first-rate. The hotel is slightly elevated and set back away from the highway. It feels like a little secluded, retreat spot. The area felt safe. Our room was spacious, comfortable, attractive and clean. We had a great night's sleep. And best of all--the desk clerk who checked us in was absolutely the best. She was kind and she really helped us. I regret that I don't remember her name, but she was on duty about 7PM on 9/28/22. If we're ever back through Vicksburg again, we will definitely come back to the Best Western.

I received a renovated room , room was okay very modern and basic .. I would suggest large size pillows for king size beds instead of the small ones. Also there are no fridges or microwaves! Here are my problems .. I checked in after 5 went and peeked at the room and left to go to the ******. I didn’t get back to the room till around 2 am .. Come back in my room and see that some one left one of the drawers open .. luckily I didn’t bring belongings to the room until I actually came back to the room to go to sleep .. The room wasn’t that bad but Morning comes and as I’m resting around 8:30-9:30 am I could literally hear housekeeping knocking on doors asking people where they about to check out to see if they were in their rooms but check out isn’t till 11 . That is soo rude but also mischievous! I even received the knock and I had a do not disturb card up! Will not stay here again .. and do not leave valuable belongings in rooms unattended .

We had a wonderful stay at Anchuca. The staff came in on Thanksgiving Day to check us in. We stayed in the Queen's Slave Quarters and the room was perfect! You do hear the sound of the gurgling fountain all night long but it wasn't an issue for us. The sheets are super soft and the bed was incredibly comfortable! Breakfast was truly delicious and the coffee w/cinnamon was divine! We definitely recommend staying there on your visit to Vicksburg.

Most Holiday Inns are about the same. What sets this one apart is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The little restaurant and bar is good, but it is now closed for the covid. Plenty of parking, Home Depot and eats close by. Good a place as any and affordable. I stay here often
