My stay at the hotel was excellent.I took the executive room. Very spacious, clean, and Quiet An easy access to anywhere and all staff are ready to assist you.All though the bath tub was broken so water was running every. I hope they fix it. The location is perfect for the price. I will sure recommend friends and family for a stay.
Protea Hotel by Marriott Lagos Kuramo Waters
3.3/58 Reviews
Visiting a protea in Nigeria used to be a pleasure but since its relationship with Marriot quality of certain aspects has declined although not yet to the level of the former Sheraton in Abuja. Rooms are OK and the beds up to usual Sheraton standard. Pool is nice and the location facing the ocean pleasant if you have a room with a view. Access to the hotel is via a road in pretty poor shape.. Gym is small with a couple of treadmills, a gym machine, couple of bikes and a manual elliptical trainer. For me the pleasure of a Protea was its fantastic breakfast buffet. Sad to report this is no longer available with a very poor selection, instant coffee only, no decent meats or cheese, no pastries . Overall very disappointing for N14,00 ($30).. Internet connectivity just about OK..
Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel

There was no synergy between the receptionist who checked us in and the one who took over from her. In one day, two different staff called us to tell us to make payment if we intend to renew our stay as we were in debit. Meanwhile we were not indebted. There were no proper handover notes for the incoming staff. The deluxe room we took, entitles two persons to complimentary breakfast. On one occasion, we went for breakfast and before we could sit, a waiter hastily walked up to us in the presence of other diners asking if we had 8,000 to pay as that was the cost of breakfast, saying only one person was allowed the complimentary meal. I was pissed and calmly asked that they check their records which they did and later apologised. The plumbing work is faulty. We were on our way out when the front desk asked that we move to another room saying the one we occupied presently was pre-booked by an intending couple. After much arguments, we moved to another room. Two days later, a from desk representative said we would move again as the one we occupied was also pre-booked! We checked out! Different staff have come to serve buffalo wings and yam chips with conflicting prices, moreso, when the prices were conflicting with that on the menu( which was the price we paid on our first day).
The Blowfish Hotel

I stayed at the Blowfish hotel on 13th January 2022. It was advertised as a four star hotel. The signing in was uncomplicated and the reception staff were helpful and efficient. I booked a deluxe room and was taken there. The room was good - neat, tidy and spacious. The air conditioner worked. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a bath in the accommodation as well as a shower. So given all of that why does it only merit a rating of 3? Well, because when you book a four star hotel you don't just expect accommodation of good quality - you also expect a four star hotel to have an eye for and an attention to detail. This was sadly lacking. Firstly, having stayed in hotels in different locations of different quality for the past 40 years, this is the first time I have stayed in a room which did not have a single clothes hanger. Secondly, I'm a tea drinker. The only drinks provided were sachets of coffee and green mint tea (yuk!) so I went and bought some regular black tea. Thirdly, as the bath is also a shower, there is a fixed panel half the length of the bath which prevents easy access to the taps and means unless you have very long arms, you can't put the bath plug in or turn on the water without getting into the bath - a tense moment as you wait to see whether you have guessed right and the water comes out of the faucet or the shower head. Luckily, I got it right. Fourthly, they tell you on arrival that there is room service and vaguely tell you where breakfast will be served but there's no information pack or room service in the room. This would be helpful and would probably generate more room service revenue. The breakfast was just ok although the card you are given on arrival says breakfast is served from 6am - it's not,,, its 7am. The girls at reception did mention this to me but maybe it should also be reflected on the room key card to avoid any confusion. Finally, the TV was a waste of time. I think there were five or six channels available and three of these had a 'fuzzy' picture. Really? A four star hotel? So. all in all a nice place, good accommodation, nice service but the devil is in the detail. For many people these issues will be a minor distraction. To me the difference between lower and higher quality hotels is attention to that kind of detail. Little things mean a lot. Good but must do better!!
