There was a lack of communication. I booked a room for two nights and on the second night I returned to have my room occupied by another guest. All my items were missing as well. I spent about an hour trying to reach the owners with no effort. Mind you, this is seven at night. I had been out all day since early that morning. No one called or emailed me about a room change or anything. When I finally got a response, I was given the new information and told how to find my items. I asked why I wasn't informed, and they repeatedly said it was not their fault but the system. Mind you, someone physically came and removed my items. Common courtesy would have been to notify me of the change. Courtesy, manners, and just human decency are so hard to find in this day in time.

My stay was great but it was a bit disturbed because first, during my stay I woke up in the middle of the night as someone was using a blow dryer at 12mn, I know it's a common area but you should have rules like quiet time from 10pm-6am. Like the other hostels, it's a sign of respect. Second, other guests came quite late and tried to look for their rooms. They're banging one capsule room saying that they booked that room, the other guests called the owner to double check and it lasted for 10-15 mins. Other than those encounters, everything was okay.

The property forgot to send me the entrance code till the evening of my first-day booking. Even after that, I had to contact them via trip.com help to send me the pin and assigned pod number. It was a hot day, and waiting for the pin took about 45 minutes in the sun after 3 pm when I was good to check-in. The assigned pod was not cleaned, and I had to request a change of pod to a clean one. After check-in, the experience was fine: appropriate size pods for one person, a clean and quiet environment. Overall pretty comfortable stay except for check-in.

This is a personal capsule accommodation with individual self-check-in. Please make sure to receive the front door lock password and capsule room number that the hotel will send you by email when checking in.

👍🏼 I liked the concept of sleeping pods—it’s a creative and affordable idea. Check-in was easy with an email containing my pod number and door code. The shared bathrooms were clean, and each pod had nice extras like a TV, headphones, and a towel. The location near the main train station is convenient, and the locker system, including access after checkout, was helpful. 👎🏼 However, my experience inside the pod was mostly negative. The pods were dusty and didn’t feel properly cleaned beyond just changing the sheets—I even found a booger stuck on the wall, which really made me question hygiene. As someone with allergies, I struggled to breathe despite the ventilation holes, and this affected my health. Soundproofing was terrible. I wore earplugs to block noise, but sound still echoed around the room, making it very hard to sleep. On top of that, at 1:45 AM on a Monday, some guests came in shouting and talking loudly for nearly an hour without any consideration for those trying to rest. Because of this noise and the poor air quality, I barely slept and ended up sick the next day. While I think the pod concept has potential, the poor cleanliness, bad sound isolation, and allergy-unfriendly environment made my stay uncomfortable and unhealthy. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you need proper rest before traveling. ---- Note to other travelers: If you’re considering staying here, please be mindful that the sound isolation is very poor—so every noise, even quiet talking, can be heard by others. Just because everyone has their own pod doesn’t mean you're in a private space, which allows you to scream around. Try to be respectful and keep noise to a minimum, especially at night, so everyone can get some rest.

After a long journey, I arrived in Vienna and headed to the hotel for check-in, only to find out that the hotel owner had sent me a message explaining that another guest had booked the last available room before me. Upon realizing this, I explained the situation to the staff at the hotel, and they kindly helped me get in touch with the owner. Fortunately, the owner had already arranged a room for me at another hotel they also own, in order to make up for the inconvenience. They were very helpful, and I was pleased with how quickly the issue was resolved. The hotel I stayed at had a similar concept and was just as comfortable, I guess.

There was only one available locker, and it had no key. Also there was no AC, at least not working. I told the man who worked there, but he just shrugged and said the key should be there somewhere (it wasn't). The sheet had hair and stains on it. But worst was the extreme noice from the street! It was as the walls where made of paper, I even heard what people on the street said! Robin Wood Apartments are obviously aware of this, because there was a large container with earplugs in the wall - but they don't bother to inform about this on any website. Since the staff didn't bother to present a locker with key, I realised they wouldn't care about stains, hair or extreme noice either, so I had to find another place to stay. Costed me a lot more, ofcourse, but at least I got a clean bed, somewhere safe to keep my luggage, AC and normal amount of sounds.
