Hôtel magnifique, bien situé, décoration top. Le personnel était très sympathique. Petite amélioration qui pourrait être faite: les sets de vanity qui ont été utilisés ne sont pas remplacés durant le séjour.

The hotel is brand new, or rather, it was created by the reconstruction of an existing building. The design is incredibly beautiful. The entrance lobby and reception have an intimate atmosphere, which is complemented by a wonderful scent that will transport you outside of ordinary time. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The room cleaning was always flawless and discreet. Everything is of very high quality (bathrobes, slippers, hotel cosmetics, tea, coffee in the room, etc.). I chose the hotel because of the beautiful wellness. The pool, as one of the few in Vienna, has a really pleasant water temperature and is equipped with massage jets. The design of the space is truly beautiful and evokes well-being and relaxation. In the wellness, one employee actively offered me tea and water - Reniegene, to whom I thank very much for his services. He was really very hospitable and professional. Everyone should provide it, not just anyone, or tea should be freely available somewhere. Otherwise, infused water with citrus is in the relaxation room. Unfortunately, no one refills the ice, so the water with fruit spoils in the heat and the water tastes stale. There are only 4 sun loungers by the pool (there could easily be two more). The sun loungers are very short, so if you are not only 1.5 m tall, your legs will be sticking out. Too bad, because they are very beautiful sun loungers. The gym is one of the best I have seen in a hotel. Breakfast was served only a la carte during my stay. The menu is not very varied, but everything is fresh and high quality. I missed the sparkling wine, which is included in most 5-star hotels in Vienna. At breakfast, I recommend communicating with the staff a lot so that they bring you everything you want, because they do not have everything on the menu, but they will do it. They will bring great homemade pastries on request - sweet and savory, but you have to ask. I wish you many satisfied guests from the start. I would love to come back.

This is a beautiful hotel, where art deco meets modern design. It is situated only minutes walk away from the centre of Vienna but is located away from the main noisy roads. The staff are brilliant , understanding , thoughtful, caring and knowledgable. We had a lovely room, big enough for all our needs with plenty of storage space , seating and a very comfy bed. The hotel has its own cafe/ cake shop , a brasserie , bar and fine dining. All are these are located in an atrium that gives light and space but at the same time also gives you a feeling of privacy. It is a clever design so you never feel enclosed but at the same time you appreciate that you are in a separate dining area but also getting the advantage of the buzz and atmosphere. Le Sept , fine dining was excellent , delicious food and presentation. Equally the same for the brasserie. We also tried the exceptional room service offering. The hotel spa is amazing and the gym is also very good. Followed by a relaxing coffee and cake in the cake shop. Finally the staff are brilliant and help make the whole experience amazing.

As a passionate ultra-luxury traveler and Google Maps Local Guide on Level 8 with over 251 million views, my expectations for the Mandarin Oriental, Vienna were very high. However, what was delivered under the visionary leadership of GM Mario Habicher surpassed even my boldest imaginings. It was not just a stay – it was a masterful orchestration of ultimate hospitality. The Suite-Life, Hardware & Design: The interior by Goddard Littlefair is a masterpiece. We resided in Top-Floor Suite 434 – a perfectly executed request with ideal spatial separation. The wellness area, featuring a flawless indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, and relaxation beds, redefines the global standard for me. Future trips to Vienna will be exclusively linked to the M.O. Vienna. Service Excellence & Appreciation: The team has redefined all benchmarks: Special thanks to the Rooms Division Manager, Mr. Kai Winklhofer, for his world-class decisions. Both a generous upgrade and an unprecedented late check-out until 8:15 PM were guaranteed eight days prior to arrival – a level of planning security at its finest. Together with the Concierges, my wife’s birthday was orchestrally staged: with over 50 personal congratulations and handwritten cards, you truly feel like part of the Mandarin family. Conclusion: If you want to not just consume luxury but feel it, this house is a must. A highlight of our traveling life that redefines my global standards.

Finally Mandarin Oriental opened its doors in Vienna and as longtime „Fans of Mandarin Oriental“ we were eager to see the latest addition of this iconic chain in Europe. Location is good, but definitely not as prestigious as the rivaling Park Hyatt or the Rosewood Vienna. The interior and the rooms are nicely appointed and can best described by refined Jugendstil combined with subtle asian influences. Nevertheless the lobby and other public spaces are rather small and somewhat sterile. Service was definitely up to expectations and impeccable, except at breakfast. Why not give 5 stars? As others already mentioned, especially the breakfast buffet and breakfast service has lots of room for improvement, currently lacking variety and especially local/regional dishes. In terms of breakfast, competing hotels do much better. We already communicated this to the hotel manager, so hopefully breakfast will be brushed up soon. Despite this, Mandarin Oriental is a good choice for a refined luxury stay in Vienna. But with the strong competition of great 5 star hotels in Vienna, Mandarin Oriental has to gear up.

We’ve just stayed in the hotel for four nights and we were extremely excited about staying in the latest MO. We have been coming to Vienna at this time of year for over 20 years as I used to work here in the early 00’s. We’ve always stayed at the Ritz Carlton with Club Floor access or at the Park Hyatt. I’m a top tier MO fan. There is no doubt the Mandarin is finding its way. Sadly service is still hit and miss and there is a LOT of staff training necessary. At breakfast you can wait for ages to be served and then, like London buses, two or three staff come along at the same time. English is not natural for some of the staff either s comprehension is a problem. And as previous reviewers have commented the breakfast offering is weak for a hotel of this standard. A buffet more reminiscent of a decent four star hotel lacking any exotic fruit; hot dishes when served lacked any presentational skills vis the omelette with no garnish at all; and when I ordered a fried egg, bacon, beans and rosti they were all delivered on separate small plates or bowls. Is an English/American breakfast order so difficult? When I asked for mango and passion fruit (this is Asian based MO of course) they were provided after some time. Worse was the quality of the fruit. Melon was often tasteless as was pineapple on one day. I can get decent fruit in London; is it really not available in Vienna? I know they have logistical & power nightmares in the large restaurant area but it should not impact guests however they solve it. You can wait an age for service in the bar. The spa was very good as is the gym. The corridors are wide and very bright. My assessment of the rooms (we had a Deluxe Suite) were that compared to the other hotels above they were small but well appointed. Housekeeping was very good and signature MO touches like cable ties and glass cleaning cloths were present. Towels were plentiful. MO’s problem in Vienna is there is huge competition. Their ‘backstreet location is not as attractive as being on the Ring and their lobby, as noted by other Trip Advisor contributors is not particularly special. So coming back to my title I don’t understand why they didn’t set customer expectations better by describing the first few months as a soft opening; letting customers know that in advance; and discounting the rates more then just the usual January 3 for 2 offer in Vienna. At the price charged we have higher expectations of MO particularly if you’ve stayed in their Asian properties. At the moment the hotel is disappointing in terms of price/value. I hope they get it right in future. There are some exceptional staff here but they need to get the standard up substantially to be the premier place to stay in Vienna. AND clearly set customer expectations better.

Hello! We recently returned from our annual Christmas time trip- this year to the Christmas Markets in Budapest, Prague and Vienna. After lovely stays at the Four Seasons Budapest and Four Seasons Prague, we checked in to the new Mandarin Oriental Vienna. As the Mandarin is brand new, I thought I would leave some thoughts (happy to comment on the other hotels if any questions). Overall, I was very disappointed with our stay. The hotel is brand new- so I expected some service hiccups. However, given the brand and the price (our rooms were $1200 and $1500/per night) I expected they were confident they could deliver a great stay. That was unfortunately not the case. I will detail some of the numerous service issues below. However, the hard product overall was also disappointing. I expected this to be our new go to in Vienna but I’m not sure it will ever fully compete with some of the existing properties. The lobby and check in area has a unique sculpture but is missing some grandeur. Despite some Christmas decor, the lobby and hallways were very clinical (they must have used every bright white bulb they could find for the hallways!). There was also some false advertising- I had booked a Mandarin Room and an entry level room for my mother in law. Upon check in, the entry level room only had a shower (all photos and written information indicated a bathtub). They were able to move her to a room with a bath however. The Mandarin Room was spacious but a narrow rectangle. Based on past experiences, the Mandarin Rooms usually have something that makes them unique- this room did not- it was simply larger by about 5 empty feet in the middle of the rectangle when compared to the other room. The fixtures and finishes were nice as you would expect of a brand new luxury hotel. The website also listed 4 dining venues- two restaurants, a bar, and a cafe/patisserie. As it turns out these are all one restaurant- the fine dining is a private room, the patisserie is a coffee bar and cart of pastries in one corner, and the bar is in the other corner. While the greenhouse-like space is lovely, it all seems a little budget for a new hotel like this. Breakfast was listed as a buffet. Instead you received an etagere- a three tiered platter of fruit, bread, and then a beetroot spread with crudite. This has to be even more wasteful than a buffet as how many people are going to devour beetroot spread first thing in the morning. It is also not ideal in a new hotel as you know service is going to be slow so the buffet at least would have allowed us to get in and out quickly. When I asked for just the fruit we actually ate the next morning, we still received the full platter so we enjoyed our three slices of pineapple and some grapes while the rest went to waste. The location is also not as good as expected. It is a 5 minute walk from St Stephen’s which was lovely at Christmas given the market. But outside of that time, I’m not sure that’s the most major draw. The surround

It was great stay! Felt like Arabic luxury exclusive home! We were on anniversary she made us big surprise and we wake up to make breakfast order in Arabic with concierge karina and we order dinner with her to room. Like pasmara restaurant in lunch. Karina was such a phone friend to my love wife! She took care of all the time and call us always if we need water or car. It is great ritz Carlton. We will be back with our kids in January and hope to have better room. Thank you, we liked ritz.

Vienna now boasts another luxury hotel. The entrance is impressive, delivering a lasting "wow" factor with every step. Housed in the former commercial court, the hotel offers 86 rooms and 52 suites with understated, comfortable amenities, without any ostentation. The interior is exceptionally cozy, though the space isn't overly generous. Penthouse apartments are available for purchase on the top floor, complete with comprehensive concierge service. The public spaces include Atelier 7 # BRASSERIE, # CAFÈ, # IZAKAYA & BAR, and the # LE SEPT restaurant for fine dining. Aside from the original roof structure, I found the BRASSERIE, with its breakfast-hall charm, rather disappointing. Its Art Nouveau elements reminded me too much of another hotel restaurant not far away. The background music during my visit was too dominant and, in my opinion, far from befitting the hotel's standard. Drinks: an original selection, elegantly presented. –> IN BRIEF: Ambiance: Hotel: TOP! Service: Motivated and very attentive. Food: Another time.
