Reviews of Hotel Strudlhof Vienna

The room was okay, and the location was decent, but the front desk service was terrible and very unfriendly! I don't know why, but it was specifically that tall woman who was extremely rude! No matter what I asked, the answer was always 'no, no, no!'

Hotel isn’t too far from the airport. The hotel receptionist was still available to check me in just before 12 midnight. The front desk staff were nice and helpful all through my stay. The hotel was warm and cosy but there were times it was a bit too warm and there wasn’t an AC to turn on. The bathroom was nice and clean, water pressure was great. The bed was comfortable and clean. I had a lovely view of another building across my room. The only thing was the rug having either stain patches or white patches (stains irritate me). The wardrobe hangers need to be improved. I get that it’s an old hotel but it’s still in good condition. They offered storage after check out which was a good add on. You can walk to some attractions from the hotel and public transportation isn’t far from it either. Overall I had a lovely stay.

It was such a pleasant surprise that everyone at the hotel reception spoke Russian. They were very kind and even warmed up our food in the microwave in the mornings. Plus, it's just a stone's throw away from all the attractions.

I had a very disappointing experience. I would only recommend this hotel if you enjoy paying to be inconvenienced. The room key card constantly stopped working. Because of this, every time I went out, I had to contact the front desk for assistance when I returned. While there was hot water, the shower in the room was unusable. The air conditioning in the room also didn't work. The room was always dimly lit, and several of the torches (lights) didn't work. The refrigerator was also not functioning.

The hotel offers spacious rooms and is in a great location. It's within walking distance of tram and bus stops, and the metro is also easily accessible. The hotel also provides an extensive breakfast buffet that is definitely worth trying.

I was a bit worried because some reviews mentioned there was no air conditioning, but actually, the AC cooling worked incredibly well. There was indeed a fridge and an electric kettle too. The front desk even gave me some complimentary snacks.

It was located close to the city center. There was hardly any noise to disturb us. It was a problem-free and clean stay.

The service was excellent! The hotel is conveniently located and the room was very clean and tidy. Plus, having air conditioning made our stay comfortable during the hot summer. ☺️

Plus: I liked the location. The hotel is quietly situated. The front desk staff was very nice. Minus: The carpet in the room and hallway was dirty and full of stains. The bathroom wasn't entirely clean. The bottom part of the wardrobe mirror was broken off. The hotel is quite run-down. A cleaning lady stole my jewelry, which I unfortunately left behind in the hotel room.

The hotel is far from new, but it's clean and doesn't smell. You can walk to the city center in 15 minutes. There was no air conditioning, so we had to open the window, which made it noisy from the street.

A good, clean, and cozy hotel. Delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

A little bit worn down, but very spacious room and bathroom. View. Somewhat more serious was the air-condition , and difficulties setting right temp. Ended up with opening window for several hours , to lower the temp. Friendly and helpful service employees in reception. Near public transport of several kinds ( bus,tram,u-bahn,and train.) To rent city bike and e-bike , very easy and cost next to nothing. You find them every where. Shops, cafes, restaurants and post office near by.

The rooms were freshly renovated, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel is located on a very quiet side street and is conveniently situated for public transport (bus and tram). You can reach St. Stephen's Cathedral in the city center in just 10 minutes. The value for money was excellent. Would happily stay again anytime.

The room was in the attic. The hotel felt a bit old but was very clean. I really liked the attic room I booked with a skylight; it was warm and well-laid out. It's one of the few hotel rooms I've genuinely enjoyed staying in. The surrounding area has plenty of amenities, and the hotel's location is very quiet. My only regret was missing breakfast. Still, I'd definitely recommend it!
