Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn Wien

This hotel is really close to Schönbrunn Palace – it's right across the street, with an entrance just a short walk away. Contrary to what Ctrip described, there's no bathtub in the bathroom, and the facilities are indeed a bit old.

A very comfortable stay, incredibly close to Schönbrunn Palace. The U4 station is just a 3-minute walk away, and the breakfast was plentiful. The service was also quite thoughtful. Aside from staying right in the museum district, you couldn't ask for a better location.

The hotel is right at the entrance of Schönbrunn Palace, so it's within walking distance. There's also a U4 subway station nearby, making it convenient to get anywhere. Even though my stay was quite frustrating, I still think it's worth recommending. However, if you do stay, make sure to check your room for any issues beforehand. If there are problems, get it changed immediately. Hygiene: The bathroom was very small and had a strong urine smell. When I brought it up with the hotel, their conclusion was that they couldn't do anything about it, which was speechless. If it's a known issue that can't be fixed, why put guests in that room?! Environment: It's pretty good. It's a large hotel with many rooms. There's a garden, shops, and a cafe. Service: There wasn't much service; they didn't deal with issues. Facilities: They're okay. There were no toiletries provided at all, and the shampoo was worse than hand soap. Shower: The water pressure was strong, but the showerhead was unstable and kept falling off. I actually got hit by it...

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the subway, light rail, and a bus terminal, and only a 30-minute drive from the city center. Schönbrunn Palace and the zoo are just across the street! The hotel grounds are beautiful, like a castle with its own garden. The room was quite spacious with a vintage decor, but the bed was too soft for a good night's sleep. Be aware that for environmental reasons, the hotel doesn't provide disposable toiletries or slippers. Also, towels are only replaced if you leave them on the floor.
