The Levante Rathaus Apartments

A nice place for staying

The room was not what was described or as nice as the pictures showed. The accommodation was extremely hot even when the thermostat was turned as low as possible. We had to open the windows but the smell of cigarettes as the court yard was directly below and the extremely loud music playing until the early hours was unbearable. Also we could hear every noise possible from other rooms including a very disturbing ex-rated noise which i certainly didn't appreciate when trying to sleep. The accommodation was not clean, under and around the bed was filthy, the bathroom smelt awful, I figure it was a mix of sealant and sewage, didn't appreciate the mould on the ceiling either & bogeys on the bedroom wall was disgusting. I woke with the worse back pain, the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever had the displeasure to lay on, the pillow was flat, the sheets were rough. I was so disappointed we actually changed our evening flights to leave much earlier than planned. Definitely not worth the money & certainly would not recommend nor would stay again. Have just returned from Vienna where we stayed at this location. In sunmary, we were satisfied with our stay and the apartment offered us just what we needed for our stay. We had a family superoor apartment which had 2 bedrooms and a living area along with kitchen & bathroom. We were glad to have so much space travelling with small children. The kitchen allowed us make/prepare bottles for the baby ahead of our sightseeing trip and was one of the main selling points for this location. The apartment was relatively clean & also quote warm. We were glad to have fans in the rooms. From a location perspective, we did a lot of walking to the attractions and sights nearby however there is excellent public transport options with both the Rathaus UBahn and Lange Gasse trams very close by. The streets around the location are generally quiet but there are nunerous restaurants and bars meaning you dont have to go too far for anything. Reception opens 8am-6pm and staff there were very helpful particularly at check in. We didnt find we needed anything outside those hours and the complimentary coffee before heading our in the morning was a nice bonus. Rubbish was collected daily & room was cleaned/beds made every other say. Yes the elevator is quite small and compact but we were well warned of that and the steps up to the apartment werent too taxing. Could have done without the elevator “breaking down” on the last morning when rushing to the airport - all down to a door being left open on a higher floor (despite signage). Some USB charging points in the apartment would have been a bonus. Likewise, a lamp or lower light option in the living area would have been nice while trying to get the kids to sleep In the evening. Lastly, while I am a big fan of the old school traditional apartment key, the fact we only had 1 key meant we had to stay together at all times and particularly st night as it was not possible to lock/unlock the apartment door without the key but nor was it possible to return to the conplex without the key. These are relatively small things and am mentioning in the interest of being balanced noting that overall, we were very satisfied with our stay,

Very nice Apartment modern touches in older building, adequate cooking facilities, comfortable bed one negative could not get any English-speaking TV Stations, Guy manning front desk was so personable and helpful, will certainly stay there again

Excellent small apartment for two, with fridge, microwave, hob, dishwasher, cutlery crockery. Very comfy bed and pillows. Towels changed daily and bed made up daily. English BBC News channel on tv. Washing machine available. Friendly knowledgable staff and lounge with free coffi/ tea in office hours available. Outside sitting space available too.

AMAZING and friendly staff and good rooms. My room was quite hot, the temperature could not be adjusted but I simply opened the window, not a problem at all. Great place to stay and great value.
