Boutique Hotel Kugel Wien

I am thankful for the luck I had to catch the last available room in Hotel Kugel for 5 nights in December 2025. It was a wonderful stay in a very central location in Vienna - just a few blocks (about 6 minutes walking time) from Mariahilferstrasse and about 8 minutes walking down the street to Volkstheater. Transport wise - a tram stop across the street (less than 1 minute walking) + a bus stop even closer, which makes it super convenient for arriving from the train station and the airport and basically getting anywhere in the city during your stay. There are many different cafes, restaurants, bakeries and all kinds of shops just around the corner and nearby, to say nothing about Mariahilferstrasse itself. The hotel itself is very nice, quiet and super clean, the double room I had has enough space for 2 people (and more than enough for 1), with a very comfy bed, wardrobe, a bathroom and tea/coffee supplies replenished daily. As a welcome gift I've got delicious home made cookies, melting in your mouth. But the best part of the hotel are the people - Christina is one of the most warmly welcoming and caring hosts I ever met, starting with the offline communication before the arrival (friendly, generous and prompt) and of course meeting her live in the hotel - Christina is going above and beyond to help with anything and give you very useful advices and share her experience. Not only Christina - everyone in her team I met during my stay are very helpful and friendly, which naturally creates a great atmosphere and makes you want to smile when you think about getting back to the hotel after a long day in the city. Grab a room in this charming place without hesitation. Thanks a lot to Christina and everyone in the team for hosting me and making my 5th visit to beautiful Vienna an absolutely fantastic experience. Next time I'm in Vienna there's no doubt I'll start with checking if Hotel Kugel is available for my dates.

We had the best experience in this hotel. The location is perfect, the city center is around 15-20min by foot. Everything is so near. The atmosphere is amazing, the style of the hotel is unique. The rooms are really pretty, we stayed for 2 days and went out to sightseeing and when we returned, the room was perfectly cleaned! I didn’t expect it, since most hotels have the policy to clean on second night, not the first one. I was happily surprised! I think that the hotel is perfect for its value. The staff is amazing, so friendly and hospitable! Overall, I will surely come back in this hotel the next time I arrive in Vienna!

The location is vey good. All amneties as it was discribed. The room is same as in the photos. The staff was very frirndly and always ready to help. Breakfast is very good, a viennese taste. Good price for this period. I defdnetly recomend it.

We really like Boutique Hotel Kugel! The proprietors, Christina and Johannes, made us feel so welcome and comfortable. This is our second visit to Hotel Kugel and we would not want to stay anywhere else in Vienna. Lovely, friendly, clean, comfortable- plus a great location and an amazing breakfast! We stayed both times in the pretty blue and white room with the canopy bed and large windows. The bathroom was spacious with a large, deep tub/shower. All in all, a lovely Viennese boutique hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Boutique Hotel Kugel Wein. From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely fabulous—warm, personal, and attentive. The hotel is family-run, and that really shines through in the way the staff and owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Their communication was excellent, and they were always willing to help with anything I needed. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the centre of Vienna, which made exploring the city so easy. My room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all the facilities I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel itself has a quaint, charming feel that adds so much character compared to larger, impersonal places. Overall, this is a true gem in Vienna. Comfortable, clean, and run with genuine care—Boutique Hotel Kugel Wein is a place I’d happily return to and recommend to others.

I spend a weekend in this modest hotel. For simple starying, to sleep somewhere it's affodable and clean. It's Accessible to tram and bus.
