Hotel Mocca

The hotel itself is not deplorable, in the sense that it has quite pleasant and clean rooms, even though there is no air conditioning or a fridge. The location is also convenient, not far from the metro and on a street with bars and restaurants. The big problems, however, are two: breakfast and the manners. In my case, one was very serious. When booking I called and asked if their breakfast also included gluten free products since I am celiac. They told me yes, which was also confirmed upon arrival when I checked in. Instead, at breakfast the next day, they were totally unprepared. Not only that… after half an hour they found some packages of frozen gluten free bread (and nothing else) and they were defrosting it for me. So what? You might say… They were heating it up on the grill where there were croissants or bread with gluten. Luckily I noticed! Is it possible that nowadays we still have to repeat that celiac disease is a (serious) disease and not a whim?? Of course, the rest of the breakfast was also miserable, eh… just a few things. The next day, you might say, will they have organized themselves? No way, same story… but with more rudeness. A boy in charge of breakfast had a fit of rage in front of my requests, slamming the freezer door and going to the kitchen, cursing who knows what. Terrible experience. For goodness sake. Never again

Buona posizione, a metà strada tra due linee della metro, buona la colazione, staff disponibile anche nel tenere i bagagli fuori dall'orario check-in. Bagno piccolo e pulito, un po' troppe ragnatele nella stanza e il WiFi non prendeva bene nella nostra camera. Tutto sommato esperienza positiva

Considerando che Vienna è cara (molto cara) questo albergo senza pretese va benissimo. Se avessi passato le mie giornate in camera non mi sarebbe piaciuto, ma considerando che andavo a dormire dopo tutta la giornata camminando per la città e che avrei dormito anche in piedi, va benissimo. Ci sono delle cose da migliorare: niente aria condizionata (solo un ventilatore a colonna), parquet vecchio che sembra sporco, nessuno lavora dopo le 21:00, quindi, se hai un’urgenza sono affari tuoi, letto piccolo matrimoniale e bagno formato Lilliput. Ma pulito era pulito tutto. Ho letto che la colazione è molto cara. Noi abbiamo fatto colazione un giorno in albergo e un altro fuori (proprio accanto all’albergo) e abbiamo speso la stessa cifra, essendo molto più fornita la colazione dell’albergo. Ci tornerei perché questa camera la usi solo per dormire e perché è collegata molto bene con il centro, facilmente raggiungibile anche con una piacevole passeggiata

Das Mocca ist sehr ruhig gelegen, trotzdem zentral mit etlichen Anschlüssen zum ÖV. Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich, leider ohne richtig guten Kaffee. Die Zimmer (jedenfalls meines) war etwas klein, aber mit grossem Badezimmer. Leider war die Dusche wiederum sehr winzig, obwohl es im Bad eigentlich genug Platz hätte für eine richtige Dusche für richtige Männer. Das Zimmer ist eher ein gefängnis mit sehr kleinem Fenster zum unattraktiven Innenhof. WLAN ist tiptop, Fernseher ist zu weit weg und die Bedienung sehr umständlich. Die Rezeptionistin Tina hat mich sogar im Ausland angerufen um mich darauf aufmerksam zu machen, dass das Hotel abends geschlossen ist. Trotzdem hätte man diese Info auch auf der Website angeben können. Absolut unakzeptabel war der Portier am Sonntagmorgen. Er führte ein privates Telefongespräch und riet mir, später wiederzukommen. Dann hielt er mir als allererstes ein Formular hin, worauf ich zu beeiden hätte, im Hotel nicht zu rauchen. Den Vogel schoss er dann ab, als er von mir bewiesen haben wollte, dass die verwendete Kreditkarte die meine ist: «Könnte ja auch gestohlen sein!» Dabei hatte ich das Zimmer ja schon im Voraus bezahlt. Das Verhalten dieses jungen Mannes ist absolut unakzeptabel.
