The hotel is located on the banks of the Danube, with excellent environment, spacious rooms, rich breakfast, and independent parking lot. But the worst thing is the flower drying in the shower room, the water is not strong, let alone a five-star hotel, even a budget hotel should not be.

This hotel was clean and comfortable with a nice, modern bar/lobby area. The breakfast was really good and we particularly enjoyed the fresh waffle machine. My only downside would be unless you were visiting the fair that there isn’t too much in the area. There was a local burger bar that was full so we struggled to find anywhere else to eat and wished we’d just eaten in the hotel in the end. A nice hotel but just be warned it’s in a very quiet (potentially business) district within the city.

Stayed here in April 2023 with family. Wasn’t quite a 4 star category hotel as advertised but a good hotel in a very good location. Supermarkets and metro were very close and a 15-20 minute stroll brought you to the centre of town. The room itself was clean and the rain shower was great. The staff were polite and efficient but didn’t go out of their way to provide anything extra in terms of customer service. There was an unexpected heatwave while we were there when the temperatures suddenly soared to the early twenties. The room didn’t have working air conditioning and the window didn’t open, and despite asking the reception to help, they didn’t seem too interested in rectifying the issue, which made for two very uncomfortable nights in a very stuffy room. The bar was overpriced, charging 5 star prices for a powder-mix hot chocolate and a mid level wine. I would rate it 3.5 stars but as that rating is not available I’m choosing 3 stars as usual, because 4 stars on TripAdvisor is ‘very good’ and this hotel does not deserve that rating. It’s fine if you’re looking for a reasonable and central city hotel mainly to sleep in while being out all day. But that’s about it.

Climatisation en panne 3 semaines consécutives ;dans un bâtiment très vitré où personne ne pense à fermer les stores , malgré mes messages préalables pour m’en assurer -pas prévenue en arrivant -accueil déplorable -il faut aller voir soi même si telle ou telle chambre a une clim qui fonctionne -je viens dans cet hôtel depuis 20 ans et j’y ai passé environ 500 nuits -c’est ma base à Vienne mals il n’est pas certain que je continuer à séjourner ici -accueil froid et désagréable de certains réceptionnistes -peut importe ma carte platinium ou diamond , peu importe le fait qu’ils m’aient vue 10 fois ou plus , ils s’en fichent , clients habituels ou pas .Le soir il vaut mieux arriver tard et être accueilli par Ahmed qui précisément n’est pas un employé Accor et qui est souriant et avenant . En ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner ,accueil également très moyen -l’objectif principal étant de s’assurer qu’on ne prend pas un pdj sans payer -le buffet est mal organisé -trop de temps perdu quand on travaille -après avoir attendu du pain pendant 15 mn j’ai décidé de faire l’impasse -il y a un café en face..

The Mercure Vienna City Hotel is right in the heart of the city, and the underground station, nearby attractions and shopping pedestrian streets are all within walking distance. Although the room is very small, but the Chinese people have to have a hot water bottle, tea, coffee is convenient, breakfast is OK. Walk through the bridge, next to the intersection there is the Airport Express, which is convenient. A good experience.

We arrived at night and our 2 year old looked up at the fun fair and shouted “colours!”. Thankfully, whilst you could hear some of the rides from the room it was muffled and not intrusive. The rooms are ideal for family travel. ReasonBly priced and very spacious. No bath but the deep sink in the kitchen just fitted our toddler. Comfortable mattress, fantastic shower and the kitchen is really well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. Delicious buffet spread and fresh items on the menu alongside. Plenty for veggies and vegans. There’s parking next to the hotel for €25 a night which is reasonable for the area.
