Muong Thanh Luxury Vientiane Hotel

I booked a room for my girlfriend and her sister. Around 9 PM, someone came to their room and knocked on and shook the door—not once, but twice within a short period of time. This understandably made them feel unsafe, and they ended up leaving the hotel and checking out that same night. I contacted the hotel afterward to ask what happened and requested that they review the CCTV footage so there could be some clarification. Unfortunately, I have received no response after nearly 48 hours. What concerns me most is the complete lack of communication. If there was a legitimate explanation for what happened, the hotel should be able to investigate it and provide an explanation to the guests. Instead, there has been no explanation, no update, and no apparent effort to address the situation. At this point, I have serious concerns about the hotel’s security procedures and how incidents involving guests are handled. Whether this was simply a security failure or something else, guests deserve to feel safe and deserve a response when they report an incident like this. I would strongly encourage management to address this situation, review the CCTV footage, and explain what happened. The lack of communication after almost 48 hours is extremely disappointing and unacceptable from a guest’s perspective.
