Best Hotels in Viseu

The building is very nice, right in the centre where most of the historic buildings are. The room was very big and also the bathroom. The staff are nice. The breakfast was very nice. The parking is limited and forget parking close by if it’s full. The blue carpets on the stairs need to be vacuumed as they are very dirty. The black out curtains don't close fully, i had to put my hair clip to keep closed. The biggest issue is they have old windows on the street side so forget going there if you actually want to sleep. They know the windows are bad as they said they have ordered new ones. The issue is the guests don’t know until they are trying to sleep with people screaming under their window. We were there new years eve, impossible to sleep so we asked to move room around 4am, they had another room with better windows so why didn’t they put us there in the 1st place. They said it was a family room but if they know the windows have NO soundproofing, they have to make the effort to make sure guests can sleep even if the room is slightly more expensive. Worst nights sleep ever and that makes everything else worse. The main people making noise were coming out of the hotel building but strange they said they had nothing going on. Ask for a room with double glazing windows or forget sleeping.

I would like to thank you for all the commitment and professionalism that you have shown, especially by the officials Carla Costa and D. Luísa, who are very friendly and very generous professionals, and who have made a special request for a birthday. The two officials made everything to make the surprise happen in the idealized parameters, and made everything they could to make the room available for the anniversary of the moment when they arrived at the hotel. I wish the hotel, especially the two officials mentioned, who are so well representing the hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, in the heart of the city centre. The coffee is very bad, unforgiving in Portugal and in a establishment of this level.

Found an excelente deal for a 4 person family, for a room (usually most hotels only accept max people of 3). Indoor and outdoor pools. The whole family adored the morning breakfast, especially the pancakes. Loved the hot chocolate from the bar service in the afternoon. Staff keep to themselves, not very expressive group of people, but facilities and prices compensate. Near by cafés, shops, walking distance. Great parks to visit with the kids in Viseu.

The Hotel reached the expectations it had, as I already knew the development and maintain the quality of service and facilities. Regarding the price, the value presented by Trip was extremely competitive in relation to the other agencies for the same service conditions, and even in relation to the price that would be charged by the Hotel itself in a direct booking (which I cannot understand...). The breakfast provided was of excellent quality and quantity. The service was excellent, with all employees in service at the hotel in these 2 days of friendliness and efficiency far above average. However, I was a little disappointed that the Trip agency had not yet sent me an Invoice for the amount paid. The only certainty that I have that the payment was made, was given to me by the Hotel receptionist who told me that the rooms were paid for, but that he could not issue me an Invoice as the payment had been made to the Agency - which is natural !). In this situation, the lack of an Invoice was very unpleasant because I booked and paid for 3 rooms (for us and 2 other couples friends) and until now I don't have any proof of payment to ”do the math” with them.

The rooms are large and have a bathroom with bathtub, but no refrigerator. There is a balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast and dinner were moderate, so you might better visit a restaurant. At breakfast is not a full-automat, but only a thermoscane with unappetited coffee. No hot food, 3 varieties of cutting.
