As soon as I arrived at the property, I noticed the parking lot was area was dimly lit, in rough shape and trash strewn around. The exterior of the building itself appeared dated and the “landscaping” was some sort of rock mixed with ****s.. the grounds, in general, didn’t make a good first impression.. the staff that I dealt with were to the point but decent enough. The room itself appeared to have had a “facelift” but was noticeably done as a cheap, quick coverup. In my opinion, they slapped some paint on the walls, hung a big photo of a random picture of a commercial airplane, put up some curtains and called it a day.. the tv was also dated and small. I can deal with all of the things mentioned above but the last couple of things, the most important in my opinion, were definitely subpar! The air conditioning unit initially was fine. However, approximately 30 min after I initially turned it on, the room began to smell musty/sour.. I’m no expert but it smelled an awful lot like mold. The smell either eventually subsided or I just became acclimated to the smell. I dismissed it and let it be because I was only staying a night. Next was the bathroom. It didn’t appear dirty but smelled like urine. The last thing that, in my opinion is the most important in a hotel room, was the bed itself. I might as well have been laying on a piece of cardboard, on the floor! It was awful.. period.. no other way to put it.. I might have gotten 3 hours of broken sleep. One night was $180.00
