Big enough to be able to give you all the services and facilities you want, small enough that you are not overcrowded by the number of guests. Valentinos was very helpful prior to arrival and during our stay. Fani on reception was also extremely helpful. The hotel is spotless throughout and the pool cleaned every night. Would recommend a sea view room, the view from the other side of the hotel is not great. Good variety at breakfast (the water melon was delicious). Rooms are modern, air conditioning works very well and a good size TV, although not much choice of English speaking channels, but we didn't go there to watch TV. Very good size double bed. Not the biggest bathroom and the area around the sink was not great, but not an issue. Only thing we did not like was how busy the pool got at weekends (we were there for two of them). The hotel is open to non residence for sunbed hire at weekends and it is extremely busy and very crowded. Worst is the disco which is very loud and plays from 11.00am till 4.00pm. Perhaps a good time to sit on the beach! I would recommend the Lebay, just be warned about the overcrowded pool area, specifically on Sundays.

I stayed at Sveltos Hotel in Oroklini for a week in October together with a group of 8 who were visiting Cyprus for a cycling week. I was the only non-cyclist in the group. We arrived mid-evening, tired. Check-in was quick and easy and we were offered a welcome drink. My husband and I were given room 215. The room was modern, comfortable, spacious with ample storage space and plenty of room to set down our suitcases. There was a large wardrobe and some shelves. The room had air con, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, large bottle of mineral water (which was replenished each day), telephone, room safe, large wall mounted TV, mini fridge, ironing board (with iron available on request, I think). Most of the sockets in the room take English style plugs without the need of an adaptor. The room had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The temperatures in October was around 30 degrees each day but our balcony was often in the shade which was just perfect. Our room faced the main road so was a little noisy during the rush-hour. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room facing the pool at the back. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a walk in shower, lots of shelf space to set down your bathroom bag, etc. There was a hairdryer and a few complimentary toiletries. The hotel’s public areas were modern and inviting. There was an indoor bar, outdoor bar (offering well-priced cocktails with happy hour each evening). There was a good sized pool and a children’s pool. There were ample loungers for sunbathing and a lot of tables and chairs outdoors for eating and drinking. There is a pool menu which was very good and well-priced. The restaurant is on the ground floor where we had breakfast each morning. There was an ample choice of hot and cold buffet. Dinner was €18 per person for three courses. We found that food portions in Cyprus were usually quite large. The hotel has a gym which was quite small but well stocked with a good selection of equipment. The hotel offers 2 or 3 excursions most days. I took 3 excursions during my stay and they were good and well-priced. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and accommodating of our group.

Liked the hotel. Ideal value for money. Well located, close to many cafes, shops, pharmacies, bank. Responsive and polite staff. The room was clean and had a great view of the pool and mountains. In the evenings, there is always some kind of entertainment in the bar: bingo, quiz, live music. Sunday buffet with delicious carvery and all the toppings, cost 12.5€.

Since I am already an Accor member, I booked the Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort. My expectations were far exceeded. The hotel was recently opened and everything is completely new and clean! The staff is very attentive, friendly and competent. Definitely worth mentioning is Denis at the reception, super friendly and professional. Valentina is a dream in the kitchen! I would also like to mention the waiter with the longer dark hair - friendly, always open to a conversation. Overall the staff is great! The location of the hotel is about 20 minutes from Larnaca Airport. It's right on the beach with a nice pool area. We had room 404, very modernly furnished and the size of a normal standard room. We had dinner at the hotel 3 times - it was excellent and very delicious. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel. A supermarket is 2 minutes away from the hotel. I can recommend the hotel and I will definitely come again in the summer. 10 out of 10 points - this is how vacation is fun.
