Hotel smells bad

Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was small. Paper thin walls as we could hear the person in the room next to us sneeze,cough,etc. We were excited about the pool and hot tub but upon further inspection it didn’t look clean at all. The morning breakfast was not very good. The housekeeping staff were friendly and gave us towels in exchange for our dirty towels as we didn’t need the room clean.

Check in very quick, staff pleasant and friendly, nice pool and hot tub although outdated, worked well. Breakfast very good and plentiful.

Toilet did not flush first night—it was midnight when I reported it but flushed fine next morning. Room had odd odor; like sweaty workmen’s clothes after day of hard work—-not BO more like stale dirty clothes. I was only in room to sleep and shower. No body soap in shower—squeeze bottle non existent, glad I had my own. Frt desk mgríiî very difficult to understand—language barrier. I expected more from Clarion.

No sleep The hotel was clean. Beds were very stiff. The first night there was a lot of screaming and running through the hallways at midnight for hours. I called the front desk and was told there had been several complaints already but wasn’t anything they could do basically so we got no sleep.

Most uncomfortable bed in my life This definitely fell short of expectations. The bed is surrounded by a wooden box/frame that we kept hitting our shins on. The trim around the actual mattress is so prominent you feel it pressing into the back of your legs. The mattress topper is of such poor quality the lines from the pattern was visible on my body. I was literally in pain and did not rest well. The pool was clean and the hot tub was nice. I was hoping breakfastime would be better and was to start at 6:30 . We arrived 6:35,the lights were off and the room was almost full with workers also waiting to eat. It was just being set up. After about 30 minutes, it still was not complete. Someone who may or may not have been a supervisor came in in sweats and started directing the person and they went in the kitchen. When they emerged the server was pushing the cart with the food but the supervisor had gotten a full plate of bacon and eggs and walked around eating. By that time my diabetic husband was needing to eat so we went next door. There not even juice set up that he could have sipped to get his levels up until breakfast was ready. There was no point in trying to lay back down until check out because the bed was so uncomfortable. There was no one at the desk to tell when we left. All though the person who checked us in the day before was super polite and helpful, I would not return.
