A great stop over place with free parking. Spent 6 days here, the room was clean and warm. Front desk staff were sweet and friendly. We will stay again. The Moto restaurants were a few steps away and a great option for affordable breakfast. Hotel amenities were minimal but enough.

The parking is very hard to negotiate. It took over an hour to pay the £7.50 parking fee and we have now been sent an extra invoice for £100, Therefore I would advise against stopping at this travelodge

I have stopped at this Hotel many times without issue. However when checking in I was told in needed to scan a QR code now to pay for parking even though my booking confirmation stated that free parking was part of my stay. Staff at the hotel had had no training or like guests given any warning of these changes and additional charges for parking at this site coming into force.

The new parking arrangements - entirely independent of Travelodge - make visiting this location very frustrating and inconvenient.

After a long day and some frustration on the motorway late at night thanks to unexpected closure of the M62 junction on the M1, the staff at this hotel immediately put me at ease upon arrival and check-in could not have been quicker or easier. I was so glad to see the large, clean welcoming room and super comfortable bed that awaited tea. So, quick cup of tea and bit of telly later, I had a wonderful sleep. I love this place

Last night was hopefully my last ever time staying at this budget hotel 😳 ….but only because I’m about to move from West Lothian in Scotland to West Yorkshire and, from today, I will be living in God’s Own Country, meaning I no longer need to book hotel rooms when I come to visit friends and family in this part of the world. Angela and her team (Chris, Michelle and Alison) have all been brilliant over the past couple of years when I’ve stayed here. Yes, it’s no frills, but there’s no fuss either. Pound for pound, a brilliant, friendly, clean and fresh place to stay.
