This is a bang average Premier Inn, with an independent pub next door, as you can only eat breakfast in the hotel. Our room was hot - there was a fan provided which was noisy and meant we didn’t get great sleep as we needed to have it on all night. There are unfortunately no adjoining rooms which meant our family of 4 with 2 teenage boys had to sleep in the same room, which felt small with the 4 of us. The main issues here were the lack of WiFi and some of the senior staff members’ surly attitudes. They aren’t the friendliest bunch. We effectively had no internet for 4 days. The free WiFi didn’t work for us. We had 5 phones between us on different networks and couldn’t get the free WiFi on any. There is also very poor network coverage in the area - very slow 3G - so no internet which was a problem. I brought this issue up twice during my stay. I would have brought it up more, however there wasn’t anyone visible at reception whenever I passed through. On day 2/3 I managed to speak to someone on reception as I passed, and they said that the WiFi was working but was coy about saying that there had been an issue…I told them that it hadn’t been working and they intimidated it had been fixed - felt like they’d been told not to admit there was an issue. Still no WiFi and I couldn’t even log into paid WiFi. Kept receiving web page warnings that my connection wasn’t private and security warnings about the connection. On checkout I spoke to a senior member of staff to let them know the issues and that I’d spoken to another staff member during my stay about this. I was told that the staff member I spoke to “shouldn’t have said there was an issue” and they also became quite defensive intimating that the issue was with our 5 different devices, not their WiFi. This annoyed me as there was no apology. If she had admitted that they’d had an issue and wasn’t so defensive I probably wouldn’t have left this review.

We've stayed at this hotel quite a few times. It's having a re-furb at the moment. Just wanted to say though that the breakfast this time was amazing. Therese, the cook was great. Everything was beautifully cooked and hot. We asked for extra fried eggs and she cooked them for us and brought them to our table. They were great. Can't fault the service or the food.

Had a one night stay here. Only used the room. Decent sized room with plenty of space. Bathroom was big with a bath and shower. Had small.decent coffee and tea facilities. Bed was comfy. Big car park. Has a resturant on site and a pub next door and there is also a pub about 5 mins walk

Very clean and comfortable. A large bright room with everything I needed. Lovely big bed, white crisp linen. Tasty breakfast with nice vegetarian options. Good supply of tea and coffee and milk. Great hot shower. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Very happy.

Upon arrival Nicola at reception was friendly, efficient & helpful. All the other staff that I encountered during my stay in house keeping, reception & the restaurant were all friendly & polite. The reception was open & welcoming & the vending machines actually worked! The hotel was clean, tidy & well maintained. The restaurant was extremely busy all morning for breakfast & because of this along with the open kitchen buffet even with the windows being open it got very hot in the restaurant which started to make it uncomfortable. That said both the kitchen & restaurant teams were constantly clearing tables & restocking the food so people didn’t have to wait long for a clean table or for the good value food that was provided. I have stayed in many Premier Inns across the country over many years & this stands out as the best I have stayed in.

Shabby, unclean, missing furniture and dirty cups which had to be changed, along with going to reception to get more tea bags, coffee bags and milk. Their policy is to only provide 2 bags per room which is ridiculous bearing in mind the price of the room. Certainly not at all like the advert on the TV.

Very good restaurant and food, the staff working at the reception were very friendly and were able to get us booked in on such short notice. The breakfast was very good and I have no complaints on the food, would definitely love to visit again!

Have stayed here before and have been greatly impressed. Everyone works very hard to make us comfortable. Have had a continental breakfast in the past as it suited us but this time decided on a full breakfast. It worked out well. The buffet style hot breakfast looked appetizing and was very tasty with the fried eggs being freshly cooked. Full marks to Teresa the cook.
