Maremuritz Yachthafen Resort

Fantastic suite, fully furnished, you won't miss anything, large terrace to relax on, good starting point for leisure activities, very nice view, super delicious breakfast. Very nice wellness area, perfect for switching off...

No response to a concern about several defects in the hotel. Dirty curtains, few toiletries. Not interested in making guests happy outside of the season. Food and staff were great. Wellness area too small.

It was the most beautiful holiday we have ever spent

The apartments are modern, clean and spacious. The staff is extremely friendly. A rich breakfast is available on request for €19.50 per person. The wellness area is not large, but very nice. Oh Julio, the Italian restaurant, is very tasty. The BBQ evening on Friday night was mediocre.

Very spacious and well-equipped apar**ents, some with a great view of the Müritz. The underground parking spaces that come with each apar**ent have to be paid for separately. Unfortunately, this does not fit into such an overall concept. This should be reconsidered. We booked with breakfast. This was served in the restaurant, which was far too small for the number of apar**ents. Here, too, possible alternatives should be considered. The hotel advertises a wellness area. Unfortunately, there were only about 10-12 loungers available in the pool area and we had to register for the sauna, which only has 12 places. There was no direct access from the individual apar**ent buildings to the wellness area, but there were changing rooms so that in winter you didn't have to walk the sometimes longer distances in your bathrobe. There is enough space so that the wellness area can also be expanded further.

I am deeply disappointed with this stay and have expressed this to the manager. They seem to have become numb to the many complaints. I can't really report any defects per se, but the price and the vague images shown on *********** raised expectations that were not fulfilled in any way. We had booked an "apartment with balcony". And that's what it was - but the balcony was useless! Instead of the Mediterranean-looking Müritz shore, the eye-catcher was a transformer box with "Hansa Rostock" graffiti, probably from the GDR era. There were also cars and bicycles on the adjacent street, noise pollution included. All of this on the ground floor. It was quite dark inside, as the windows only face one side, apart from a small kitchen window. We like modern accommodation, and I deliberately chose Maremüritz as an oasis in an environment of "staidness". The term "resort" appealed to me, as we had already traveled to many resorts around the world. Normally a resort is a "tourist hotel complex with a range of services beyond accommodation". However, the range of services offered here falls short of that of a hotel: there is no daily cleaning or changing of towels. Everything is only available for an additional charge, as are the purchase of espresso capsules. There are no tea bags, sugar or coffee cream. Even if you want to use the pool or loungers on the beach, you have to pay a hefty extra charge. At the end you pay a final cleaning fee (although I was probably waived because of a communication problem). It is hardly surprising that you then have to pay extra for the underground car park (which is cramped in every space by supporting pillars). The fact that the cover for the room card contained incorrect WiFi information is a minor matter. Likewise, the best way to get relevant information about using public transport in the national park (including timetables) is to download a nicely designed PDF file from the internet, rather than being informed by the staff or from the brochure given at reception. So it's not "hotel plus" like you would normally find in a "resort", but "hotel minus". And all at a hefty base price of over 200 euros per night in an apartment with the aforementioned "graffiti" view (in the better locations you'll have to pay a lot more). I'm willing to pay that much money for appropriate accommodation, but this was totally overpriced for the service offered! Never again, and I can only advise anyone interested against it.

The rooms that supposedly face the garden actually face the street and have stuffy air and are extremely hot because of the large glass surfaces. They also try to make money from everything, e.g. capsule machines, where you can only buy the capsules in the resort. That is not environmentally friendly either. Guests also have to pay to visit the pool area. They also forgot to offer charging solutions for electric cars. We would not come again in summer.

The Maremüritz is a wonderful resort that leaves nothing to be desired for us. From the great service of the friendly staff on site, to the excellent location and the beautiful, well-equipped and clean apar**ents, to the delicious food in the Oh Julia restaurant. We have now visited five times and it is always a wonderful (short) vacation. The apar**ents impress with their great facilities and spacious layout. From the apar**ents on the Müritz side you have a wonderful view of the lake and enjoy absolute peace and quiet. Many thanks to all the staff on site for their service and their consistently friendly manner.
