Bit cold...and that's just talking about the temperature! Owners were very cold too. Nothing more uncomfortable than staying somewhere where the owners clearly don't want to be there. Oh god, please don't stay here people. Save your money. Good location though, but you're not 'served' by location.

We booked at the last mo to save the drive back to Plymouth having arranged to meet friends for dinner at a local pub. We booked through ******* and viewed and chose our room and opted for bright looking room with a bath! The pictures of the 17th century hotel looked lovely and we were looking forward to the stay but sadly we were not allocate a room in the hotel but in a cottage across the car park in a small featureless room with the smallest shower I’ve ever seen. The bed was nice and bedding lovely and a nice breakfast in the morning but apart from taking our breakfast order no interaction at all amd reception was not manned. I do feel if you intend to put people in other buildings you should say and show pictures of those rooms so people can decided if it’s for them or not.

Lovely bed - spent most of the time in it as the room was so cold.
Great old building which will be great in the summer as it will be cool with the very thick walls
Stayed here in the past and it’s not changed. As a result it could do with a bit of TLC
My room was nearest to the road which you could hear even with secondary glazing

Been before but not for a while. Went for Sunday lunch on New Years Eve - fabulous Delicious 3 courses at a great price. Good choice of quality rather than quantity. Would highly recommend, we’ll be going back.

This is a very friendly hotel, spotlessly clean and such friendly helpful staff. We went for hubby's birthday and we were not Disappointed!! Nothing to much trouble as myself on restricted eating and we did not inform chef beforehand but he pulled a fab meal out for myself at no trouble. Food here is A***** amazing quality and pipping hot ! Breakfast was not a disappointment either, best omelette I've had in a long time, plenty of choice and as much tea from a great pooring tea pot no dribbling or lid flapping as you wanted. Great price, we did the dinner and stay unbelievable price especially with the price of food at the moment. Thank you all for making my hubby's birthday a fun time. Met some really lovely guests, great break.

Beautiful place to stay, we were in the courtroom and it was immaculate, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel very welcome

Had a few days in Cornwall with dinner, bed and breakfast. The food was great and everyone was very friendly and most welcoming. A good location for Rock and Padstow. We had our dog with us and they made a real fuss of her.
