Noisy, dirty bathrooms, outdated, uncomfortable beds, and an air-conditioning unit that’s impossible to use due to the extreme noise. The neighborhood is not great, and the customer service was extremely rude. The bathrooms were dirty and outdated, with ants crawling everywhere. The air conditioner was so noisy that it couldn’t be used, and the rooms felt old and outdated, with basic furniture that looked at least 20 years old. We arrived in the evening and, despite booking for 5 people, there were only 4 towels and blankets. When I asked for an extra set, the lady was extremely rude. I contacted the representative the next day to address these issues. While they apologized, nothing was done— the bathrooms weren’t cleaned, and we never received the additional towels or blankets. We will not be coming back and would not recommend this hotel.

Overall this place was ok. Low rating for cleanliness though, because there was a used bandaid on the rug when I first walked in. Also, getting in initially was tricky because I couldn't figure out how to make the numbers appear on the keypad (you have to hold your finger in the bottom left corner). I called and they answered promptly and told me what to do. The bedroom is very small - not much bigger than the bed - but there is a good sized closet and a separate living room. Unfortunately, the light in the closet was out so I had to keep my suitcase in the living room in order to be able to find anything in it.

Never got entry code, ended up standing outside for 20 minutes at 1 am. Phone person said they couldn't find my reservation (but was helpful in the end). Next morning front desk said they didn't have my email when I've emailed back and forth (and was not helpful in the end). Pluses: rooms large and clean, location good. Additional minus: the walls are paper thin, both indoors and outdoors - they even offer ear plugs and a white noise machine, and it's not on a busy st. Ultimately, probably would not recommend in the end due to service implying their issues are my fault.

Recently renovated one bed apartment with all the amenities- washer and dryer, oven, hob, microwave and big fridge freezer. We stayed for 11 nights and were very comfortable. It was so quiet (we were on the back of the west block) yet a 40 minute walk to the Capitol Building. I have read some poor reviews but our stay was lovely. Keyless door entry is easy and the staff we met were great - you don’t really need to see anyone but they are at the end of the phone or email.

This has now changed hands to the Placemakr group, and is probably best to avoid!! Took 45 mins to check in, food chucked over the walls, carpets covered in hair. Front door panel to enter is very hard to use and sometimes doesn't work at all! Comfortable bed though, and good amenities.

We had a great first stay! Compared to a hotel, the extra space, balcony, and extra bathroom were great. We missed the gym and amenities of a hotel, but found it worth the trade off. We can’t wait to return and check out other Sonder properties!

Stayed here for 5 days in October 2023! I travelled alone and stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It was great. The room had everything needed - in unit washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. There was also washing up liquid, utensils, cups, hairdryer, towels etc. everything you needed for self catering accommodation. Whilst the hotel itself was great and in great location for the metro, the accommodation does not always have staff on site. So, if there is anti social behaviour e.g. someone smoking in their room, they may not be able to get this sorted for you

I had a great experience in Sonder Europa. The place is really clean. We stayed 4 days me and my son. We felt at home far from home because you have everything you need. Latest technology amenities available. You even have a dish washer too. Lots of restaurants around the place and a bus stop not far. Walking distance to metro not very near but okay. Place is calm. Good place to relax. Communication was also good. They answer really fast. There is really everything in the app. Make sure to download it before you get there for all the information to get in is there, as getting your internet connection and about the neighborhood. I am pretty sure I will stay again in one of the Sonders when traveling the world for they are in many countries. Big Bravo on this concept.

In the end, I never stayed at the Europa as they cancelled my reservation. I was told that, despite taking my money, my credit card wasn't a match for them. In UK format, I am Mrs X XXXXXXX on NY card and that didn't suit their standards. I asked for a refund and was told it would take 5 to 7 days to process. I got itvin 5 but, I am less than impressed.

Hotel was very nice. Loved that it was handicap friendly, felt very safe going in and out of the building. Only disclaimer I had with our room was that each sink did not drain, so the water would just set in the sink, also was not able to use washer and dryer due to it needing maintenance. Also, only one tv in two bedroom apartment maybe later could have at least two tv’s.

I was in both a single and suite, when my cousin joined me over the weekend. Both were well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were excellent, with even a selection of pots for those who wish to cook, as well as plates and silverware. The hotel was clean, with extra towels, etc. available and a washer and dryer. The location is a bit out of the center of activities but in an interesting area, near the navy yard and marine base. Two criticisms: There are about six steps between the lobby and first floor of hotel rooms, not so good when one has large luggage. The other: there is absolutely no staff on site, so everything is either through their app, witch is not conveniently set up, or calls to one central number, which is disorienting and takes extra time when there is any king of request. Also, there are no grab bars in the shower, which is dangerous.

Everything was good, the couch was a little messed but the rest was excellent. The location is good and the quality of the apartment was so nice. The only thing that was messed was the frame of the pull out couch

My in-laws stayed here and loved it. We use Sonder for visiting family members instead of hosting in our very small house. It's clean, and there's space for us to hang out and spend time together. My parents have stayed here as well. The one down side is that you can hear conversations from inside the units very clearly in the hallway.

The apartment is in a great spot - a nice neighbourhood and close to places you want to see around the national mall. It is a very nice space, plenty of room, a decent kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, and it was great having two bathrooms
