University Hotel (Shandong University Weihai International Academic Center)

Whenever I visit Weihai, I always choose to stay at the Jinshatan Xuefu Hotel. It's where my partner and child went to college. The room facilities and overall environment are really high-end. It's nestled by the mountains and faces the sea. The service, cleanliness, and food are all excellent. It's such a comfortable and reassuring place to stay and dine.

The service wasn't proactive enough. I specifically requested two child safety rails when booking and also called to confirm. I mentioned it again at check-in, but they weren't delivered to the room for a long time. I had to call to chase them up, and then they only brought one, which was almost broken. The duvet was terrible; it wasn't stitched closed, so the filling kept shifting around. The room was also right by the road, making it impossible to sleep well. I ended up checking out a day early. I hope the hotel updates its facilities.

It's hard to put into words. The front desk staff tried their best to accommodate requests, but it was clear they were reluctant and had a cold demeanor throughout. The hotel is very old, more like a guesthouse. The breakfast is comparable to a school cafeteria. The room facilities are a mix: some bathrooms have been renovated, while others are very old and have a musty smell. I mainly booked for the view, but it's too close to Golden Beach, making it very noisy.

The balcony offers a stunning sea view, and the service was very warm and welcoming. My parents were very satisfied.

This hotel truly stands out as the best choice for a sea view near Weihai Torch Eight Street! You can enjoy a fantastic ocean view just by dining in the restaurant. The hotel has an exclusive beach access and is right next to a popular sunset photo spot and the Jinhaiwan trestle bridge. The hotel's environment and service were also great. Plus, since we traveled during the off-peak season, our stay was wonderful! The breakfast, especially, was really delightful. When we checked out on the morning of May 7th, two staff members on duty warmly recommended some attractions in Weihai to us.👍

It was cloudy, so unfortunately, I didn't get to see the sunset! The hotel facilities are good, and the shower water pressure was great. The breakfast selection was limited, but it did offer local specialties. The 'jianbing juan sanzi' (pancake roll with crispy fried dough) was delicious, and the salted mackerel was also quite good!

The scenery is beautiful, and catching the sunset would make it even more perfect. We were lucky to see a drone show. Breakfast was also delicious.

Our room was on the sixth floor, with direct elevator access to the beach. The balcony offered stunning sunset views, and watching the gulls by the sea was a delight. The room itself was spacious and tidy, with a comfortable temperature and well-equipped, easy-to-use facilities. We even received complimentary welcome fruit, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant staff were very warm and attentive. Room service was prompt, and the cleaning was meticulous.

I stumbled upon this hotel with a floor-to-ceiling sea-view window room online and immediately fell in love with it. So, I took advantage of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday to visit Weihai. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and the actual experience was fantastic! From the hotel's **exterior**, it felt like an older four-star, but once I entered the lobby, the overall impression was very neat, clean, and bright. You could tell that the hotel put effort into maintaining its facilities. The staff were also very enthusiastic, even calling a day in advance to confirm my itinerary and preferences. The **service** was excellent. Since I arrived quite late on the first night, after 10:00 PM in Weihai, I booked a **standard king room** for the first night. It offered a street view, not the sea. The room was quiet and very clean, perfect for a good night's rest. On the second day, around 9:00 AM, we moved to the sea-view room I had been looking forward to. I booked the **Deluxe Sea View Terrace King Room**. The room was still very clean and quiet. The interior decoration was on par with a five-star hotel (though the walls were a bit patchy and could use a repaint). Upon entering, there was a bathtub, and then the super large floor-to-ceiling window and terrace came into view. In front of the window, there was a soft sofa, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing for drinking tea or coffee – it just made me so happy. The view from the terrace was also stunning; the sea was very clear on sunny days. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the room. What could be more romantic than that? The **breakfast** restaurant was a sea-view restaurant with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, there was a trestle bridge, the sea, and seagulls – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it covered most Chinese breakfast essentials, and the taste was good. For a four-star hotel, it was really impressive. The **location** is in Huancui District, not far from attractions like Torch 8th Street. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Downstairs are Jinshatan Beach and the Jinhaiwan Trestle Bridge, where many seagulls hover. The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to the beach, and guests are given an exclusive wristband. For families with children who want to play in the water during summer, it's very convenient – you can go straight back to your room via the elevator to wash up after playing. Overall, the accommodation experience was excellent! Full marks, highly recommended!
