The main issue with this hotel was the rather dated rooms, the whole place needs a thorough overhaul, in our case the windows would not close properly and our first night in Wellington was very very windy and the noise and draft coming through the window was intense. Called the night manager who was sympathetic but was unable to offer us an alternative room ( we were on level 9 ). In the end we were supplied with a roll of duct tape which I taped around the window frame. It helped but not a lot.

There are windows, facing the bay, you can see the museum and the skate park. The road is New WOrld, and there is Chinese food nearby. Life is still convenient. The room is spacious, a family of three can
