Worth House Bed and Breakfast

Everything at Worth house was just right, comfort, cleanliness, food, atmosphere is very friendly, this was my third visit to Worth house and it just gets better every time. I have already recommended this place to stay to my friends if they intend to visit this part of the beautiful Somerset countryside, only fifteen minutes from Wells.

We wanted somewhere to stay to break up our journey from the midlands down to Devon and after a little bit of research we decided to book Worth House due to its great reviews and proximity to Cheddar Gorge and Wells. I now understand why it has so many five star reviews. We were a bit early for check in but no problem. We were met by Flavia who was very friendly and chatty. She showed us up the Loft room which is very spacious with great views over the fields to the rear of the property. The last flight of stairs up to the room is a bit steep and twisty but then it opens out and you get a bit of a wow factor with the amount of space and the sloping ceilings. The bathroom is also very spacious. After making use of the tea making facilities we then bumped into Sarah on our way out to explore Wells. Within no time she had offered to replenish the milk stocks with fresh milk in the little fridge in the room, made recommendations of where to eat that evening, said she would make the booking, and given advice on what to look for in Wells and where to park! She also advised going to evensong (5.15pm) in the Cathedral that evening which was a great suggestion. Hearing the choir was very impressive. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the full English sourced with local ingredients. We will definitely be back in the future.

You have to stay in this amazing place! Situated in a great rural location for exploring. Sarah is the best host ever. Always making your stay a magical experience! The Loft room is a must! It’s stunning and as for breakfast - simply special and all locally sourced foods. We will be back for our 5th stay soon ❤️

Nice large room. Breakfast was amazing so much choice and beautifully cooked using local produce. The host was extremely friendly and offered local knowledge and lifts ! There was a lounge with an honesty bar. Would definitely recommend this exceptional B&B.

Very pleasant place to stay. We were at an event at Wells Cathedral and it was easy to find the guest house and very convenient. Delicious breakfast, all locally sourced. We will definitely use this guest house again when we go to another event.

I booked this for a Christmas shopping trip for myself and my mum. On arrival we were greeted by Sarah who was super friendly and shows us to our room. Lovely room on the first floor with single beds. We had booked dinner at the hotel for 6pm. Sarah was very accommodating as I am vegetarian and had prepared a lovely meal, all home made with was delicious. Again desserts were amazing with a choice of lemon tart or pavlova. Couldn’t fault the dinner at all. We stayed for two nights, breakfast on both mornings was perfect, lovely and hot and not too much which we liked. The hotel was positioned perfectly for us as we visited both Wells and Clark’s Village. All in all nothing to moan about and would not hesitate in coming back. Thank you Sarah 😊

Fantastic homely place and the breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and fantastic !!!!! I would highly recommend this if you are venturing around this area, and the staff are so pleasant and friendly.

The Loft was a delightful room. Sarah had everything to hand and made sure our stay was enjoyable. She even booked an evening meal table for us at the local pub. Breakfast was delicious. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

Very warm welcome, a good sized, clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was freshly prepared (we both had Full English) and tasty. Cereals, fresh grapefruit, yogurts, toast and pastries.
