Friendly staff, especially Ally from the restaurant, who was very attentive and made sure we were happy the whole time at breakfast or while sitting by the pool.🍹 We were also very satisfied with our traditional cottage since we came here to experience the local culture without expecting luxury or something. The internet was a bit slow and I had trouble with one of my zoom meetings, but besides that it OK.

I think this is a bad hotel. I paid 150 dollars at the front desk and said I would go to Bluesafari and the cave the next day, but the driver only took me to the cave and the mangrove forest to see monkeys.there is no sea turtle trip，i think they are terrible 我想这个是个不好的酒店，我付了150美元给前台说第二天去bluesafari和洞穴，但是司机只带我去了洞穴和看猴子的红树林。没有海龟岛

Room was very clean and the reception was perfect and easy check in

We stayed here for a night as it is close to the airport. It’s definitely old, but the rooms where nice and spacious for a last night repack, shower and sleep. Comfy big and high bed off the floor. There’s a pool and a restaurant, but we just watched the sunset at the bar on the “beach”.

It is a very nice hotel. Highly recommended

The power went out often which was annoying. Other than this, it was a decent place to stay, and affordable.

Not a 4*, 2.5-3* at best Lobby beautiful. Rooms ok, in need of some upkeep, clean and great a/c but very dated. Curtains falling off. Old cushions on chairs, moldy spot on bathroom ceiling, spider webs above mirror. Exterior is deteriorating though well lit. The grounds are unkept, until yesterday, after I said something, there was nothing being done, no grass cutting, no clean up of the grounds or pool. Every electrical outlet on the fence is open and broken, broken rails on the fence. The fountains were dirty and not on. One didn’t even have water. Pool was not totally filled up to the pumps so not circulating, dirty until yesterday. Pool bar is very dirty and has not been open at all. Sea side dining room has been closed our entire stay. Buffet dinner every night and it was so-so. Lunch took hours and had to send back a salad twice before they added seafood to the “seafood salad” Staff seem to be new and unsure of what they have available. No beach movies. Live band was a keyboard and a singer, who both did their best. There is a lot of security including with the housekeeper when they come to turn down the room at night. Staff bags are checked before they leave. The gates are locked to the beach and we were warned to stay away from people on the beach for fear of being stabbed. There are significant tide fluctuations that bring a lot of garbage to the beach. We asked for late check out on departure day and were told no as they are full, yet we have only seen a handful of people and there are many rooms here. All and all, would not stay here again.

Yes i love the hotel. I love the customer services. I love the food. I love the music. I love the swimming pool. I love the drinks. I love the free wifi. I love the bed standards in arabic culture so matvelous.

This wasn’t my first time in Zanzibar but for this one i enjoyed alot. This comes from the Nice hospitality that i got from the Hotel from the day i started to about the hotel details, i can say the customer service was superb The hotel design , the hotel view and the bedroom are so comfy Thank You.

I had the best experience. The rooms were unique, clean and the surroundings were calm and relaxing as well the hospitality was fantastic. I had a great stay.

Pick another hotel. This is not nice. It smells in the rooms because there is no guest. It needs to be renovated. We did not like.

Gorgeous places maintains that Zanzibari traditional style. The food was incredible, I wish they had grilled king prawns on the day. The prawn curry I had was immaculate though. The staff is also wonderful from the bar to security and staff at check-in. Jeff the front office manager is really great and passionate. I might’ve taken the best nap of 2025 in the balcony after having too much magaritas at the bar Look forward to coming back when renovations are complete.

Really good place, we loved our experience here for our first days in Zanzibar ! We recommend this hotel, the room was really nice and the people too everyone was sweet and helpul ! The view is beautiful too when eating or drinking something ! Thanks to the team !!
