Stayed at the hotel while in the area for an event. Smaller hotel with a cool motel vibe. Nice properly. Room was very clean and comfortable.

The Hotel Dylan is relaxing. Inviting. Fun. The personal touches throughout the hotel are impeccable. Lit fire pits with surprise s’mores kit waiting for you at your hotel door in the evening added to the experience of Woodstock. Peace, love, stay is their motto just try and stay for more than one night. That was our mistake! And it won’t happen again for we will return to Hotel Dylan. And thank you Darryl for making out stay memorable!

Totally enjoyed our stay here- motel has been very nicely renovated- modern with thoughtful and fun music themed design. Super clean, bed comfortable, pool small but well designed and clean. Nice staff. Don’t worry about being so close to Rt 28- really only hear trucks go by in the morning. Less than 10 minute east drive to Woodstock. Sante Fe mexican restaurant very good. Don’t miss Ashokan Reservoir trail less than 5 minutes away. Will definitely be back to this fun motel!
Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us and for your kind review. We hope to see you again soon!

This is an overdue review. We stayed at Hotel Dylan for two nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. The whole experience was wonderful. The hotel feels more motel-ish and is conveniently located just outside downtown Woodstock. The room was immaculate and the beds very comfortable with superior bedding and upscale amenities. There was even a record player in the room with albums from the 60s which was a cool touch. The prevailing theme throughout the hotel to rock stars of the Woodstock era is done with taste and style. We ate a delicious Mexican meal at the restaurant on the premises. The owner of Hotel Dylan, Daryl, was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. On our first night, he and musician friends were jamming in the lobby and it made for a super enjoyable experience. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Woodstock area.
Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to post this kind review. We hope to see you again soon!

Had an excellent experience at The Hotel Dylan. We stayed in “The Roadie Room”. Beautiful, very clean room with super comfy beds and nice bathroom. Hotel staff super welcoming and nice. There was a fire pit going and we got a goodie bag when we arrived with all the makings of smores and a stick to roast the marshmallows. So much fun. Highly, highly recommend this hotel!!
Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback! We hope that you will come back soon!

So happy with our weekend stay at Hotel Dylan. Comfortable beds, nicely decorated bright rooms, modern bathroom, record player and records you can change out in the lobby; self serve travel items/quality snacks for a fair price right in the room. A bag for S'Mores appears on your doorknob every day for use at the firepit right outside. A lobby area with fireplace and a happy hour was a nice surprise as well, as was conversation with staff that are proud of the property and area. An on property Mexican restaurant and gym right across the street are convenient. Just down the road a few miles from the downtown/shopping area of Woodstock. There is quite a community of musicians in the area. We attended an event at Levon Helm Studios that was amazing. Don't hesitate to stay here! Great vibes!
Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us and for your thoughtful & kind review.

We were pleasantly surprised by this darling hotel/motel. Very well appointed and updated, comfortable beds and very nice touches throughout- from beach towels to a record player to s'more packages on our doorhandles at night for the fire pits! I would definitely recommend a room towards the end of the wings ( we had Meadowood) and it was a little more private. The coffee shop on property was terrific and hanging out by the pool was a great way to spend the afternoon. Very clean, super cute and a terrific price point. My only complaint is they do not have housekeeping service and they do not have lotion in the rooms. They thought of everything but no lotion!? The office had a few extra bottles which was nice. I would like to see housekeeping, at least on stays over 2 nights long.
Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us and for your thoughtful response. We do touch-ups of the guest rooms every third day of a stay and any time requested. We started keeping the lotion in the lobby as a response to some guest concerns that previous guests may have used some of the lotion and left it in the room. We hope that you will visit us again soon.

Dingy, loud and rickety room was the least of it, wife and family threatened by management staff is completely unacceptable!! Lied repeatedly to our face. Simply refused to accommodate the slightest request, awaken by cleaning staff vacuuming other rooms unreasonably early, they don't care about guests, just an overpriced motel, don't fall for the photos

I can't even describe how much I love this hotel - it's so unique and has so much charm. The service was impeccable. The rooms were very clean and the beds were so damn comfortable. They do little touches that made it feel extra special, like leaving s'more kits on the door and weather forecast for the weekend with hiking recommendations. The pool was so great too and the restaurant and caffe were both great. My only complaint was that our room was on the first floor outside of the fire pit and you can hear everything going on outside, next door and above you. If you're a light sleeper like me, I def recommend ear plugs (which I luckily had but didn't block all of the noise) and requesting a second floor off center room. I've traveled a lot and this was hands down one of my all time favorite hotels.

Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us, for your kind review, and for your feedback. When we added the East Wing in 2018, we set out to create very quiet rooms. The original West Wing where you stayed on your recent trip was built in 1966 and fully renovated in 2013 including a new roof, plumbing & electrical systems, and a rebuild over the original stud work. We utilized sound engineers, acoustic foam, and sheetrock for the renovation however, there is only so much that can be done to eliminate sound transmission in a 60-year-old structure. Many of our repeat guests choose the West as they want the vintage experience, but we always recommend the East for light sleepers. We hope that you will return and try the East Wing. Thank you again!

Perfect place to stay in Woodstock. Room was extremely comfortable, clean, and roomy. Rooms are name on Woodstock themes, not numbered, so very creative. Shower was excellent. Plenty of towels. Entire hotel area was very clean. Manager and staff present and helpful. Two first pit areas that were used by guests at night. Short drive to wherever you want to go in the area. Loved the little record player in the room. We brought some albums from home and enjoyed the listen. I would definitely stay here again.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for staying with us! We're glad that you chose us and hope that you'll return soon with more vinyl to rock the house!

Such a COOL hotel! Small and inviting with a really friendly feel. The rooms are lovely and the grounds are GREAT! Super clean and the beds are COMFY and the showers are EXCELLENT! Very convenient to the town of Woodstock and nearby attractions and activities.Only two issues: can't get ice at the hotel on Sundays because the onsite restaurant is closed, and the onsite coffee shop (which is AWESOME!) is closed on Tuesdays.
Response from Property: Thank you for staying with us and for your kind review. We hope to have the cafe open 7 days a week for 2024.

We were a group of six, three siblings and their spouses, and we had three rooms along the ground level near each other. The boutique feel is carried all the way through, from the room names (ours after Grace Slick), the 1960s influenced decor, the record players and LPs in the rooms (it was great to play Carole King and Van Morrison and James Taylor), the vintage VW microbus out front, and so on. The rooms and baths were clean and the beds very comfortable. There is a pool where we dipped our toes while waiting for the third couple to arrive and an artificial turf putting green where you can practice your stroke (they supply balls and putters, included left-handed ones). There's a firepit at night that several of us spent time around. All in all, the hotel has a nice calming feel to it. The location is not in the town of Woodstock itself, but the drive there isn't far. There's a little café on the property where you can buy breakfast items and bring back to your room or eat there on a couple of tables. The hotel management is friendly and helpful. All in all, a great experience.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for your thoughtful review. We look forward to your next visit!

Cleanliness 10/10 Service 10/10 Amenities 10/10 This hotel is amazing! I only stayed for one night and wish I would have been able to stay longer. Not sure if all the rooms are the same size but the room I stayed in, the Lang, was huge! It had a retro mini fridge, bookshelf, large desk area, and a rack to hang clothes. I had never used a record player before staying here and was excited to be able to use one in my room. Daryl was very helpful and told me about hiking in the area and gave me directions to a reservoir near by and made it to just as the sun was going down.
Response from Property: It was so nice to meet you and have you as our guest! Thank you for staying with us and for your wonderful review. We hope to see you again soon.

Just a few miles from numerous destinations in the Catskills and Hudson River Valley, we got it right choosing Hotel Dylan as our home base for 4 nights. Woodstock, Kaaterskill Falls, Opus 40, Frederic Church’s Olana, Thomas Cole’s home (HRV School of Art) , Walkway Over The Hudson, FDR’s Home & Library, and the Vanderbilt Mansion were all within a short drive. Hotel Dylan is up to date, clean, fun with a 60’s vibe and managed by a very personable proprietor, Darryl. Can’t wait to spend more time in the area and at Hotel Dylan!
