While the age of the hotel is noticeable, the staff were genuinely wonderful, and I had a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff, in particular, showed exceptional thoughtfulness.

The location was perfectly adequate for exploring North Jakarta (Kota Tua and the old city). I never found transportation inconvenient, especially with ride-hailing apps like Grab available in Indonesia. However, I did experience some inconveniences with the room itself. I booked a Business Double Room, but it was dirtier than I expected (peeling paint on walls, water stains, mold, etc.). There was also only one trash can in the room (and it was only in the bathroom). Additionally, the shower seal was broken, causing water to spray everywhere. As it's a 4-star hotel, I had higher expectations, so I was a bit disappointed.

The location was perfect for sightseeing and food. At night, many street food stalls pop up on the street in front of the hotel. The hotel room was clean and quiet. All the staff were very friendly. The breakfast had a good variety, which I thought was more than enough for a hotel at this price point. I highly recommend the Executive Rooms on the 8th floor; they seem to be different from other floors – very clean and quiet.

The service was great for the price. I had a plan that included breakfast. It was pretty standard every day, but decent. It was also easy to call a taxi (Glab).

The room was quite old, unlike the photos. It said it was renovated, but I'm not sure if that's true. The breakfast, however, was very generous.

Recommended hotel in Mangga Besar. The check-in process was smooth, thanks to the friendly receptionist. The room was clean and the AC was cold. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices.

It's not amazing, but it's not bad either. It would have been even better if I could charge my phone at the cafe on the first floor. It's not bad, but I'd probably choose somewhere else next time.
