De Old Drift Guest Farm

This is a small and very personal resort. Nice pool area, very nice garden, great breakfast and rooms. Staff was very friendly and service minded. About 20 minutes drive to Addo Elephant main gate.

Located around 30 minutes outside of Addo National Park, Lindon, the manager and her staff, are friendly and welcoming. We stayed outside of the school holidays so the property with its many family rooms and play areas was very quiet with just a few toddlers. Lindon used to be a park ranger at Addo so a safari with her was an extra special treat!

Friendly staff. Self catered apartment is outdated and the kitchen is limited. The restaurant staff is friendly but the food is moderate and relative expensive compared to many other places. The tables/ chairs can use a cleanup as they were sticky.

I perfect place with a majestic treatment. The people, the house, the pool and the views more than good. The safari with Lindon is a ‘must do’. During the safari we saw elephant, rhino and buffalo among other animals. An absolute recommendation.

We really enjoyed our two nights in the Old Drift Farm. We also had one evening dinner at the farm, which was very delicious. They have two lovely dogs. The Old Drift Farm is just an 15min drive to the Addo Elephant park and around 8 mins away there is a big Spar, if you need anything.

We stayed at one of the self catering units for a couple of days with our little daughter and really enjoyed it. The units had everything we needed, were very spacious and felt private. The property offers a playground, a pool and toys in the reception area, which is perfect for families. There are also breakfast and dinner options, which we didn’t use. One thing to keep in mind: You have to be okay with some small wild animals (ants, mice, bats). They didn’t bother us too much, but keep on mind, they live within and around the cottages.

We had a beautiful time wirh our kids in the Old drift. The people and the place are really nice. We enjoyed the good breakfast. It is a very good and close base for Addo visits
