I would suggest a maximum of 3 days to see all the animals on the park if you are lucky. The accomodation is very good although the pool we had could need some work. The view was fantastic. Food and service was of a high quality. Our Warden, Timothy was excellent. Very knowledgeable, focused on what ever we wanted to see or do. Everyone was so friendly. Even the pool guy was teaching us his language. The main lodge has everything you need. Overall I think we got value but I would have expected a few other amenities like a small gym and the offer of some spa services if required. Thanks to the team for a great 4 days and for making us feel so welcome.

I had the trip of a lifetime at Hopewell! Traveled with my Fiancée for 3 nights and the whole stay was a 5 star Experience! From check-in, our suite was very clean, spacious and luxurious with all that we needed. On the first night we had dinner in the Boma whilst the elephants were drinking water about 100 metres away, this was a perfect start to the stay. The meals from Chef John and Chef Kuhle were divine, always something to look forward to. Game drives were exciting and very informative from Tim, who made sure to tell us all the interesting facts about plants and birds as well. To summarise it all, Hopewell ticked all the boxes and will definitely return !

Amazing place to see animals. The service is excellent and the food is almost tailor made to your taste if you ask for it. I highly recommend the place. The guides were very attentive and were very knowledgeable

From the pleasant and friendly welcome from Daniella, to the outstanding information provided to us by our ranger, Timothy on each of our game drives. To the wonderful food prepared by John and his team. All the staff were exceptional - I just can't remember all of their names. The room was just so relaxing and had everything in it you could possible want. Thank you all so much for such a wonderful two night stay...we all agree it was the favourite part of our holiday in South Africa!

We greatly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The reserve is exclusive, with a maximum capacity of 12 guests, meaning you are passengers in the only game drive vehicle on the private reserve. We were initially on our own, and then joined by another couple, and four was the total number of guests. You’re certainly the centre of attention. The pool villas are spectacular, and the food is excellent, with a choice available upon request. The single hardworking ranger, Timothy, who doubled as barman and waiter, is both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We only missed out on one of the species available during our six game drives. Overall, a definite 5* stay, but I give it 4*. My 1* deduction, however, is due to our seeing a FB promotion available only to SA residents during our stay, at ONE THIRD of the price that we paid! This upsetting discrimination would not be legal in Europe, and such a covert two tier pricing system is very unfair to overseas visitors. I raised this as a feedback comment on their website, but did not receive even the courtesy of an acknowledgement, let alone a defence. I guess there isn't one.

What a truly amazing place. The people, animals, scenery were all truly amazing. Some of our experiences will last a lifetime ( especially meeting Tahboh the cheater) . Stan our ranger was an awesome with his time, knowledge and help. All the staff were fabulous. The memories are something that still make me smile and will continue to do so. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave.

Our stay at Hopewell was magical! The attention to detail, care of the resort, food, and staff was superb! Hopewell isn’t a slice of paradise it’s the entire pie! There are very few places I’d return after visiting, but I would run back to Hopewell! Nceba, Christelle, Paulie & John were so welcoming. The safari drives were top notch, and seeing THABO was a highlight. If you’re considering staying at Hopewell you won’t be disappointed:) my only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer.

Super exclusive experience. Staff and guides Christelle and Pauli were amazing. Very flexible and eager to give you a great bush experience. Professional chefs made each meal a fine dining experience. The accommodation is out of this world with own splash-pool and private deck overlooking the water hole. Wonderful once in a lifetime game sightings. Many happy memories and will definitely make a return visit. 👍

We are in awe of the efforts of Hopewell. The staff’s commitment to conservationism and enthusiasm and knowledge of the animals and surroundings is inspiring. The rooms were immaculate with breath-taking views. The cleaning and cooking staff were exceptional and incredibly friendly. Our trip to Hopewell is our most cherished memory, and we are already looking forward to returning.
