Hampton Inn Westfield

We like this Hampton Inn in Westfield, Ma because it is close to my son's house. Also this Hampton is always clean and the staff are helpful with our requests for more towels or any other problem we have. The room was spacious and was clean . The breakfast was enough variety to please everyone in my group.

We stayed at this hotel last year and really liked it. This year was a different story. The 1st room we had, the sheets has an awful chemical smell on only one side of the bed. I asked for a different room and that one smelt like cigarette smoke and had a huge stain on the wall. For $300 for the night was a little disappointed

It is conveniently located near my mother-in-law's. It is a nice, clean property.

You really feel that the staff is trying hard to make the hotel a great place to stay for the guests. And they are succeeding.

Upon walking in, there was no one at the counter right away to greet us. We approached the check in counter and two young girls came out from the back. It was a quick check in process, but not very informative. We just got our keys and we’re told where the elevator was. We noticed a counter with coffee and what appeared to be an empty plate of cookies. My husband has stayed at Hampton inns before and said “they always have fresh cookies available” which I thought was a very nice gesture to offer guests upon check in. When I asked the girls at the desk (it was 330pm) if they were going to put out anymore cookies soon? My question was immediately followed by an unfortunately there will not be anymore cookies until breakfast. Honestly that’s ridiculous isn’t the who point of the cookies to be available as a check in thing? Idk maybe I’m wrong, but it just seems strange to be eating chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. It was just an all around weird check in experience. I would have expected a bit more for what I payed to stay here. Also, we had very loud neighbors on our floor which made it difficult to sleep as they were in and out of rooms, doors constantly slamming and a lot of talking/laughing loudly through the night in the halls. Otherwise the room was clean which was the only plus with our stay.

Property was good for what it was. A little overpriced but most hotels around Springfield appear to be. Nice pool. Room was great, loved the Netlfix connect to the tv. But there was a mouldy odor near the bathroom that was a bit unpleasant. Other than that, pretty decent.

The room was clean and spacious. Great breakfast. Pleasant staff. Would stay here again.

I booked a one night stay at a nearby hotel that was dirty and felt unsafe with live-in residents on the first floor. I immediately checked out and checked into this hotel where I felt safe and welcomed from staff. Highly recommend

The staff (particularly Larry, the night manager), was particularly accommodating when we checked in late at night. He gave us a free snack as we were hungry. The room itself is well-designed compared to many similar hotels: more spacious and updated renovations. This was probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in for the price. (The free breakfast was better than the usual grain-based "continental breakfast.")
