We had spent a weekend in Brookvale before and were so pleased that we stayed again. It is perfect for couples, the rooms and bed were lovely and comfortable. The bathroom our room had was very grand in my opinion, but my wife was really into it and its "thoughtful touches", I think to do with the mirror and some kinda makeup thing. We were very pleased to get some great local advice from our hostess. I thought we were steered towards things we wouldn't necessarily have discovered ourselves but that we enjoyed. I thought there was the perfect balance (for my taste) of being helpful and welcoming and also providing us our space to feel at home by leaving us alone. I should stay that we were the only guests for one night, which is great if you can get it, because the guest sitting room is so lovely to enjoy while the stove is lit during inclement weather and you read a book or whatever. It is particularly extra nice when you know that you have it to yourself. The breakfast provided was really delicious, there are vegetarian options. The baked goods were a special treat. Everything was served punctually during our stay. You select from a menu the evening before and choose a time for breakfast, within a specified range. If staying in this B&B, you will 100% need to be travelling by car. If you are in an EV: the area is definitely doable, but you'll want to plan your journeys around the chargers on googlemaps.
