Janice and Bill
Check-in went very well and our room was ready when we got there. Then we went down for lunch at the bar at Harvest. We were hungry and thirsty after a 2.5 hour drive. The bartender (a tall man wearing a hat) ignored us from the minute we sat down. My husband had to flag him down and he called to us from where he was standing to take our drink and food order. That was the last we heard from him. My drink (a bloody Mary), which I specifically ordered with no spice, was so spicey I couldnt drink it. Since we were being ignored, I couldn't notify the bartender about this. Eventually a woman came over and said she was from the gift shop and would help out. We asked her to check our food order, since we had been waiting at least 30 minutes at that point. She immediately brought the food out, and it had obviously been sitting, because it was barely warm. We ate what we could, signaled for a check, paid and left. Horrible, unforgivable lack of service.
The hotel overall was lackluster. Carpets throughout are worn and dirty. Coffee service was promised in the lobby in the morning, but never was there. My husband asked about it, and he was told that "we had a hiccup this morning". Apparently there was a hiccup the second morning as well, because there was no coffee. The coffee maker in our room was broken. We discovered this the morning we were leaving, and notified the front desk. No apology was offered. This was our first and last visit.
