This place is a gem. We could have stayed days if we were able to. Fresh, loved, clean and amazing sea views. If you choose this place for a stay try for a ground floor unit and you will have chosen wisely. Walk to main centre and seafront. Good value for money. Very comfy and friendly staff.

The decoration is very marine-style, very nice, you can enjoy breakfast while looking at the sea, the boss is very enthusiastic, help introduce the scenic spots, nearby restaurants, and help carry luggage

Always a great stay, Chris upgraded me to the top room, great view and very spacious with all the amenities I needed, great location and just a short walk to bars, restaurants and shops, nice place to stay while visiting Whitianga, very clean and tidy. Thanks again Chris

Hubby and I decided to have a pre-Christmas break here before the crowds descended on Whitianga, and enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere. The views from our apartment were really good, but we didn't use the glassed-in balcony, as the timber beam across the middle of the windows cut into the view, so we preferred to sit in the lounge area and look out through those window instead. Be aware that the location on the main waterfront road means a lot of traffic noise in busier seasons. I would recommend earplugs at night. The fan was good, but air-conditioning would have been even better! We stayed for 6 nights, and would have to say that the apartment isn't really set up for stays this long, as there is no storage in the kitchen, no drawers in the bedroom, and the fridge is very small. We made do by using our suitcases as drawers, and setting up some cardboard cartons as kitchen shelves, as we mostly did our own catering. The bed was very comfortable, but not really set up for sitting up in bed reading or watching TV, as it would start to move across the room when we leaned against the wall. We tried using the door stopper under one of the rear bed wheels, but that only helped on one side. If we stayed in Whitianga again, we would probably look for a place with more storage and air-conditioning. However, for the price, the location and views were very good, and I loved being able to walk across the road to go for a swim.

We stayed in the penthouse suite, which has beautiful decor, was huge, and had wall-to-wall windows facing the beach. Such a stunning view. The bed and pillows in the main bedroom was the most comfortable we’ve ever on our trip, and the main bedroom has full ocean views. Fantastic location (just a few metres from the beach), quiet, and easy walking distance to shops and places to eat. Also had free parking for our hire car.

We were lucky enough to have room 8, which has the most amazing views from the enclosed balcony with sliding windows. We spent many hours enjoying the sunshine and views. The location is perfect for the beach, shops and restaurants. Chris was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy and had all the amenities required. (The washing machine is located downstairs but is only accessible at certain times). Our 4 day stay was very relaxing and we we would definitely return if we ever visit New Zealand again.

This is our happy place!! Have been here many times over several years and simply love the whole experience. Views, location and the hosts are just outstanding. We can spend hours just watching the beach, but find plenty to occupy us. Will be back!

The appart was fantastic with a fantastic view and good facilities. Chri and Gina, the hosts, are a lovely couple and we're knowledgeable on the area. Supermarket was just round the corner and it was only a 10 min walk to restaurants. The area is a beautiful place to visit.

This was my 3rd stay at the Water front Apartments, and it was Amazing as usual. So close to all the best restaurants, and an easy 20 second walk to the beach. There is nothing like waking up to the ocean sunrise!! I will definitely be back for another stay. Thanks again team =)

Lovely, spacious and well appointed apartment for our family of 4 adults. Beautiful location, super close to everything. We booked very last minute and Chris was more than accommodating with our request. Would have loved to have stayed longer....

We stayed at the penthouse top floor, stunning views, beautiful apartment. This is a 2 bedroom apartment and would highly recommend. Location was perfect, Just a few minutes walk to the Main Street and lots of eateries. Laundry available onsite, and staff were very friendly and helpful in advising things to do.

My husband and I had an amazing 2-night stay at these lovely apartments in Whitianga. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and waking up to a stunning sea view right from the bed was just perfect. The view of the ocean from the room was breath-taking, making the whole experience serene. The location is great too—everything is within walking distance. A huge thank you to Gina and Chris for being such wonderful hosts and making our stay memorable. Highly recommend

This is our second time staying at the Waterfront Apartments. Our first stay was in the penthouse which is wow! This time we stayed in a first-floor apartment. These units all have beautiful views and are on the beach front. Quiet and extremely comfortable apartments. Easy stroll to town. Will be back!
