Tolle Lage (in der Nähe des wunderbaren Klanghauses); sehr freundliches Personal, das auf alle Wünsche eingegangen ist; Wellnessbereich, der mit solchen in manchen 5 Sterne-Hotels vergleichbar ist; Gutes Essen; Das einzig etwas Seltsame: Wir bestellten zwei Einzelbetten und erhielten ein Zimmer, in dem die beiden Betten hintereinander (nicht nebeneinander) standen. Aber für zwei Nächet war dies OK.

A wonderful hotel in Toggenburg in a quaint and quiet setting above Wildhaus. This is a great place If you are looking for a true Swiss mountain resort, far off the beaten path, with excellent hiking and, in Winter, skiing options within an hour drive from Zurich. The nearby and very unique "Klanghaus" is an additional reason to spend a stay at Stump's Alpenrose.

Not quite as advertised
The hotel appears to be set up more as a conference centre than the as advertised relaxing spa hotel.
We booked this hotel for the spa experience/treatment but found out on arrival that the spa doesn't open until after 5 pm (when the conferences finish). We booked a massage (they had to get someone in because they don't have an onsite masseuse) we asked if it would be possible to have at least the whirlpool switch on for after the massage but they left it drained.
The food was ok but nothing to write home about, same menu for lunch and dinner and very overpriced - we found this out by driving down the road and finding an array of supermarkets selling items at normal UK prices.
The staff are friendly and they put a nice touch on for our anniversary dinner but I wouldn't recommend this conference centre as a couples hotel.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. What makes it really special is the attention to detail and the service that the staff provides. They will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. And the wellness are is great.

Ein Hotel mit exponierter, vorzüglicher Lage. Das Frühstück war umfassend,aber leider bei 10 Tagen Aufenthalt sehr eintönig.( Jeden Tag Rührei, zur Abwechslung wäre ein gekochtes Ei auch nicht schlecht, oder ebenso beim Käse) Die Sauna ist leider auch nicht in bester Verfassung ( finnische Sauna nur 65')

Alles was helemaal top, we hebben enorm genoten. De kamers waren prima, de wellness was echt super, diner en ontbijt waren ook top. En al het personeel was heel erg aardig. Absoluut een plek om een keer terug te komen.

Wir waren vor ca. 1 Jahr zum Essen in der Alpenrose - während unseres Urlaubes am Bodensee. Das Essen war mega. Herr Radzuweit & sein Team - einfach spitze. Nun gibt es ja - laut Info aus unserem Bekanntenkreis - seit dem Sommer einen neuen Küchenchef. Wir werden uns im Herbst wieder mit Freunden in der Alpenrose zum Essen treffen und hoffen auf bestehende, exzellente Küche.
