Not very friendly at check in - just doesn’t speak. Found a couple of bugs in my room. Otherwise a good stay. Great amenities and location .

The place is inviting and beautiful, worth a visit. There was wonderful service and many complimentary items as well, such as breakfast, cheese and wine, and milk and cookies.
Everything was very nice especially considering the age.
What caught our attention most probably is that they have a cat, miss sally, who is just out and about, and is a sweet
little surprise

Beautiful, unique property, friendly staff, southern hospitality,spacious room and meeting areas. We enjoyed the complementary happy hour ,evening cookies and breakfast. We will be returning here when our travels take us to the area.

The rooms are huge and comfortable. All kinds of little surprises like wine and cheese, cookies etc. staf all seem very happy in their jobs which reflects on the stay.

Very nice hotel, great location. The only negative comment is the temperature control in our spacious room. It felt cold all the time, perhaps management didn’t expect the cold front which hit us during the period of our stay.

Went for a weekend to celebrate New Years and anniversary. Was pleasantly surprised with how excellent of a choice Brookstown Inn was. Very friendly staff and easy check-in. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable room. Only had ~40 inch TV - not a big deal as we don't watch TV much on our travels. A well done hot breakfast, 5 PM wine hour, and nighttime cookies made us feel very welcome.
Walking distance to Old Salem as well as several excellent restaurants within 2-3 blocks of the Inn. Will return in the future

If you are staying, take an eye mask. Blinds at the windows do not keep out the outside lights at night. Room was impossible to darken. Lined drapes are needed at the windows.
Also, comfortable seating in the room would have been nice. Only one desk chair in the room.
