My sister and I went to visit my aunt that has dementia. We were very impressed with the cleanness and the excellent customer service. The kitchen lady was awesome and complimented us and the front desk person called and set me up on the awards program. It was a wonderful experience. Thank all of the workers at the best western in winter haven.

Facing the wall of Legoland, the transportation is convenient. The room is large, but in disrepair for a long time, the room smells of musty. The swimming pool is huge. Have a simple breakfast. The front desk service varies from person to person. The eldest sister who checked in was average, and the elder sister who checked out was very nice. The price is close to the people, so there is nothing to complain about.

For the price you can’t beat it! This is an older single story motel with all rooms opening to the outside. No breakfast is provided, but it did appear they have coffee in the morning. Front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly! *Note* Housekeeping begins their rounds early (8am)! My room was huge, even with a king bed. You could easily fit a Queen blow up mattress on the floor. The room was clean but could use some detail/deep cleaning in the harder to clean areas. The bed was mediocre in comfort - not as hard as the floor but by no means soft either. The king mattress was too large for the base so it hung over one side a bit and made it so you couldn’t really sleep on the edge of that side of the bed. The pillows were flat & lumpy. However, I slept great all 4 nights. Cable tv is provided. The shower is great - spacious with super hot water very quickly. The shampoo & lotion smell good. The entire flooring in the room is tile. The desk chair was surprisingly comfortable! I’d buy one for home if I knew where they got it. The mini fridge worked very well! My small bottle of water froze just a little bit. A microwave is provided in the room too. It’s a quiet area (unless a diesel vehicle is parked nearby & starts up before you are awake). Race Trac is within walking distance for snacks, lunch, & ice cream. I’d stay here again. As the title states, it’s a great value for the area. If you are “picky” or expect perfection, this is not the motel for you.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! I'm very disappointed with this hotel!! The pictures on the listings are very misleading!! It wasn't as advertised AND there were other issues as well! To start with its old and that's fine but dang, at least do some repairs/updates!! The lace curtains looked like the ones they originally hung when it was but in the 80s! Instead of buying them or hemming them to fit the windows, they're just wadded up on top of AC unit. The blackout curtains had holes in them! Here's the order issues: 1) one listing said indoor pool and hot tub and there wasn't either 2) we checked in on Wed - took 30 min to do so then on Thursday the key wouldn't work - housekeeper said it's bc I had it by my phone which it wasn't at any point (the key stayed in my wallet in my purse, the phone in my hand or pocket!) ... I went to the front desk to get a new one and they said it was deactivated bc we were a ”no show” in the Computer 3) Friday morning around 830 housekeeping comes barging into the room without knocking and asked why we were in there (duh!) then proceeded to tell us again we were no shows 4) room was dirty - glass rings on table, soap or toothpaste scum running down side of tub, 2 inches of dust on floor lamps 5) outdoor pool Dimly lit (only pool light was at steps and it gave about 5 feet of light) felt very unsafe out there - we only stayed 5 minutes - which was disappointing to my granddaughter 6) only 1 elevator worked and was on other side of property 7) Some staff/security didn't give us a feeling of being safe. The owner/managers response was ”it's hard to find good help” then went back to typing on the computer. I know it's a cheaper hotel and I didn't expect it be the Ritz but c'mon!!
