Firstly, we didn't even get to complete our stay. We were in the (Tiny!) room for 3 hours, which wasn't ready by the checkin time and necessitated a staff member to go and check if there was one we could go into (About 5 other people were also waiting for their rooms), and then the toilet started leaking through instead of filling the tank. This resulted in both an annoying and loud water sound and an unusable toilet.
Went to leave for dinner and let reception know, they said they'd try and find a new room... Sure, that should be fine. Came back and to no avail, no room at the inn etc. Decided to cut my losses, ask for a refund and just go home instead, and was offered a PARTIAL refund by the staff member even though we had only been in there for 3 hours. After some deliberation and very theatrical faces from the checkin attended, managed to get a full refund after saying they either gave me one or I would take it up with American Express. Avoid at all costs, just stay somewhere a little bit more expensive so you can enjoy your stay.
