Excellent hotel and location for a weekend getaway

After an initial hiccup with the first hotel booking, Trip.com customer service helped me to find another hotel close to the first one. Marriott Hotel Wuxi Luneng was that one. And it really helped to recover what had been a not too good start to my weekend in Wuxi. I stayed in a Premier Lakeside King-size room. As the name suggests it has a balcony giving a great view of the Yuantouzhu scenic park and Lake Taihu. The room itself is best described by photos and I will save me typing too much. I had the breakfast which has a lot of choice and if you have time you can relax in there for a while and make it a brunch. There is a 7x24 gym on the B1 level, a swimming pool and sauna too. All in all I recommend this as a good hotel to stay for a long weekend to see Yuantouzhu scenic park (only a five minute taxi drive away) and other areas of Wuxi.

The hotel has a beautiful environment, facing Taihu Lake, and is within walking distance of Liyuan Garden. It is decorated very tastefully. The room is very comfortable and clean, the service is warm and thoughtful, and we were given a late check-out time upon request. The breakfast is also very rich and delicious. Before going to the airport in the afternoon, we also enjoyed sandwiches and coffee snacks in the lobby bar, which tasted very good.
