Reviews of HALOYON VILLA WUYI

Our room's main door faced the mountains, but we couldn't actually see them. The villa had a small courtyard right by the pond, and we could see fireworks on New Year's Eve, plus there was a lantern-floating activity. The room was generally clean. We received complimentary fruit, but we didn't eat much of it as it was all difficult to wash, had no knife for cutting, and was hard to peel. It was nice that they provided a tea set with complimentary Da Hong Pao tea. They also provided plenty of bottled water, which was great. The hotel's overall design is inspired by the Song dynasty. It looks beautiful in good weather, but just average when the weather is bad. Next time, I feel there's no need to book a villa; a regular room with a mountain view might actually be better. We ate once at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, and it was just okay. Local Tujia cuisine and snacks from restaurants outside would probably be tastier.

We chose Wuyi Chunbo because of its Song Dynasty style. The hotel facilities are quite good, though I couldn't find the Wi-Fi password in the room and had to ask the front desk. The hotel environment is elegant and comfortable, with small bridges, flowing water, and lush trees. There are shuttle buggies available for getting around. I must mention that there are call buttons at every entrance and exit, making it very convenient to request a ride! The hotel's hygiene is excellent! The bedding was very clean, white, and comfortable. From check-in to check-out, the service was excellent throughout! Our personal butler added us on WeChat as soon as we arrived. Since we were going to visit the Wuyi Mountain scenic area, the butler arranged for our luggage to be delivered to our room, saving us a lot of hassle. After our tour, we asked the butler for local food recommendations, which were also delicious and left my family very satisfied! The hotel breakfast was rich and varied, and they even had a good black chicken soup. ☺️ Overall, our stay was very satisfying! Wuyi Chunbo is definitely a great choice for a weekend getaway or a vacation.

Oh my, oh my! It's been nearly three years since my last stay at this hotel in March 2023. For this leisurely trip to Wuyishan, I chose to stay here again, and everything felt so familiar, so well-known, and so easily accessible! I once again enjoyed the hotel's breakfast and also used the 'back entrance' to walk along the Chongyang River promenade (there's a 'Guanlan' coffee and tea space nearby with a pretty cool design). The room facilities and equipment are still well-maintained; especially the shuttle golf cart driver, who is particularly spirited and adorable! The entire check-in process was meticulously handled by customer service staff members F and L. I'll be back... I'll be back...

Excellent value for money hotel! It has a swimming pool, gym, and shuttle service. The complimentary fruit was fresh and delicious. It must be even more beautiful in the summer! Enjoy drinks from the mini-bar fridge: juice and coke are available. The hot tub in the room was also very warm. The service was impeccable; every staff member was very polite.

I rarely write reviews, but Chunpo Retreat Hotel has now become my hidden gem. On a scale of 1 to 100, I'd give it a 95. The staff's service was just right—not overly enthusiastic, yet definitely not cold, which made me feel very comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean, the hotel environment was top-notch, and the restaurant food was delicious. The breakfast spread was quite rich. Respect is mutual, and before checking out, my husband and I tidied up the room and bathroom as is our custom. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back. I hope the hotel can maintain this quality.

The room's interior design is quite good, clean and tidy. It features replica calligraphy by Mi Fu and a reproduction painting of Spring Dawn on the Yangtze River, showing a certain level of style. From the balcony, you can mostly see Dawang Peak, and the mountain lighting at night is beautiful. Compared to garden hotels in Hangzhou, it does fall short, but for Wuyishan, it's considered quite good. The road outside is under construction, and in terms of location, I don't find it very convenient. You have to walk about 10 minutes to reach the lively restaurants.

I saw a promotion for this hotel on Xiaohongshu and thought it looked great, so I immediately booked a room, arriving with high expectations. After a long journey, the staff told us there was construction outside our room and asked if we wanted an upgrade, saying we could see the room first before deciding. It was also a dark, cold, and rainy day. Honestly, if a room is going to negatively impact the guest experience, especially on a weekday when the hotel isn't fully booked, the hotel should proactively switch the room for the guest. This is the only hotel I've ever encountered where, when the room type isn't ideal, guests are expected to pay extra to upgrade. The hotel shouldn't pass on the cost of being a 'victim' (due to construction) to its guests. Regarding the environment, when I opened the curtains, I could indeed see villas being built directly opposite, with construction workers visibly moving around. The road outside the hotel was also under repair. The overall experience was quite poor. As for the facilities, although the hairdryer was a Dyson, it was missing its attachment, making it difficult to style my hair. The hinge on the bathroom glass door was broken, causing it to make a super loud noise when opening and closing, and I even thought it was completely broken and couldn't be opened or closed properly. The same applied to the walls. Overall, the service felt superficial. Constantly asking 'how was your stay?' when they knew there was construction going on doesn't automatically equate to good service.

Had a pleasant stay in the two bedroom villa as Fionn has been kind as well as attentive to our needs.

We had great experience at this hotel. The hotel environment is beautiful. Location is convenient. Staffs are friendly and helpful. If I will return to Wuyishan, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

This resort is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The environment is first-class, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff service is polite and thoughtful. So why did I give it 3.5 instead of 5 stars despite such good service? Because the very last moment at check-out was a huge flaw that made me feel unsafe and disrespected. I was checking out at the front desk. I'm a man, but the female receptionist addressed me by a woman's name. Then she asked me to wait a moment. My backpack was still on the seat, so I went to pick up a package nearby. When I turned back, two strangers were consulting with the receptionist right in front of my backpack. The receptionist didn't turn them away, which meant I had to wait next to them. There's a potential safety hazard here. My backpack was on the seat, and those two people were blocking the receptionist's view, creating a possibility of items being stolen. Secondly, it was unprofessional; she hadn't even finished serving me before attending to other guests, which shows a lack of respect for the customer.

The environment is elegant, facilities are complete, and hygiene is excellent. The service was especially good, and breakfast offered a wide variety. Fanny at the front desk was very attentive. I'll definitely come back next time.

Even though there's construction at the entrance, getting in and out was still very convenient. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. They even gave a tea gift upon check-out. Five stars!

My friends and I planned a trip to Wuyi Mountain, and I'd been eyeing this hotel for a while. We booked a package through Trip.com, and right after, a dedicated room butler contacted me. Every butler was incredibly polite and enthusiastic! The shuttle service to and from the rooms was convenient and prompt. The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photography service, and I was surprised by the wide variety of Hanfu costumes available. Plus, the hotel's scenery is absolutely stunning for photos! The photographers were all very professional and passionate. I'm extremely satisfied and will definitely be back! I'll bring my family next time for a vacation and to breathe in Wuyi Mountain's high-oxygen air!

Staying at the Wuyi Chunbo Yueming Villa in Wuyishan truly exceeded my expectations! The privacy is top-notch, and the courtyard even has its own tea table. Sipping rock tea and gazing at the lush greenery in the morning instantly creates a wonderful ambiance. The interior amenities are also incredibly thoughtful, with Dyson hairdryers and L'Occitane toiletries as standard. The oversized bathtub allows you to enjoy a bath while watching your favorite shows, and all the drinks and snacks in the mini-bar are complimentary. Turndown service even includes sweet soup and pastries – the attention to detail is truly impressive. Plus, the hotel offers 24-hour golf cart shuttle service, free rental of Song Dynasty costumes for ancient-style photoshoots, and even experiences like seal carving and tea ceremonies, reminiscent of Song-era elegant gatherings. It's not just a place to stay; it's an immersive cultural getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to truly relax in Wuyishan!
