The location at the foot of the cable car station entrance is excellent except that there will be some climbing to do . The property is very new and and clean. Although accessibility may be a bit of problem but it is made up by the prompt and excellent services provided by Mr and Mrs Zhao who are both very friendly and kind hearted. We are very pleased with the short stay at their place.

The owner arranged for pick-up in advance; it was 30 RMB per person to Huling Village entrance. The owner, a 'driving god' with a lucky bird on his head, drove us there on a three-wheeler. It was a thrilling ride, a bit wild but safe, and we arrived at our accommodation. The room had excellent views, with scenery right outside the window. Breakfast was homemade by the owner's wife – simple but filling. The scenic area ticket (145 RMB during peak season) needs to be purchased by yourself and is valid for one day only. You have to buy another ticket if you go a second day. This season, the rapeseed flowers have faded, but the azaleas are in full bloom. At 7 PM, there's a 20-minute intangible cultural heritage performance inside the Huling scenic area, which has a lively atmosphere and is worth seeing. Local dining offers great value for money; prices are fair, and the food is delicious. My strongest impression was the warm and enthusiastic service.

Driving into Wuyuan, I found the scenery along the way to be incredibly beautiful. The misty, overcast weather made the distant mountains and trees look like a series of traditional ink wash paintings. After arriving at the location sent by the owner, we took the owner's father's 'sanbengzi' (a three-wheeled vehicle) to the guesthouse, which was quite a unique mode of transport! The guesthouse is very new and exceptionally clean. The room is well-equipped with smart home devices that are very convenient to use. It gets quite cool in the mountains at night, but the air conditioning in the room provided excellent heating with a strong airflow.

The owner, Triso, was amazing! He'd just drop you off with your luggage and immediately be on the phone to pick up other guests. 😄 His wife is an incredible cook, perfect for those who enjoy the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai flavors. I heard the owner had just dug bamboo shoots from the mountain that afternoon, so I ordered the stir-fried bamboo shoots with cured pork – it was divine! 👍 Highly recommend. While eating, I chatted with the owner and asked him if his dog didn't go with him to dig bamboo shoots, given how clean it was. He said the dog follows him everywhere, but he washes it frequently, which is why it looks so spotless. It then became clear why their rooms pay such great attention to detail – it totally exceeded our expectations. Plus, their location is super convenient for entering the scenic area. When we left after exploring, a huge number of cars were pouring in, and there would have been at least a few hours' wait. Glad our planning paid off! 😎

Shan ErQi Homestay offered a lovely modern, and super clean room in a very nice farmhouse type location just 1km from the entrance of the Huangling. The room had a large balcony and view of the farms across the way, and a cool skylight. The only problem was its not on the main road (also a plus if you want to be away from the noise) and you need to call the homestay owner to get picked up with his little electric farmer's 3 wheel cart to avoid walking in the mud. (the weather, was really wet and rainy the night arrived and the 2nd day). Huangling park is amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see some of the original cultural heritage of China. Its commercialized, but more authentic than many of the ancient towns, including the one downtown Wuyuan which is more like a Disney Park. Huangling has something for everyone. Its super picturesque, and has local foods, and souvenirs cable cars, plus ziplines and glass bridges. The homestay did provide soup noodles for breakfast for both days I stayed there, but I would recommend you avoid it. One note: the last day I of my trip I got terrible food poisoning that had me laid up in bed for 3 days - I cant say where I got it, because I ate in several places in Wuyuan

The owner is very nice, and the whole family is very honest. The hotels here all require a car to pick you up for part of the journey, and none of them have elevators, but the owner will help you carry your luggage upstairs. Because Huangling is very close, within walking distance, the owner, to save me the extra money to take the cable car down the mountain, even climbed a flight of stairs with me and my child… He also showed me how to buy tickets in the village. The most unforgettable thing was the owner's wife's amazing cooking! I recommend eating at the restaurant before going to Huangling. The food up there is expensive and incredibly bad… definitely avoid it! This hotel experience was excellent 👍

The hotel is located next to the beautiful Huangling Scenic Area in Wuyuan. It is only a 3-5 minute walk from the ticket entrance of the scenic area. Regardless of the peak season, there is no need to queue up and take the cableway up the mountain. The first person can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the scenic area in one step, and at 17:30 in the evening, there is no restriction from the suspension of the cableway in the park, allowing unlimited access to the night view of Huangling.
