AmericInn by Wyndham Prairie du Chien

Bridgeport|4.83km from State Park Ln
Totally misleading advertising saying this facility has 52 newly renovated rooms, with new mattresses even. First off, this is the dumpiest Americinn we’ve ever stayed at. It is not anywhere near the standards at most (lesser known and cheaper) chain motels. No elevators! Beds were horrible! Seriously felt like I slept on the floor! Hot tub didn’t work properly but they leave it open, citing future plans to get it operational, after peak season. Filtering properly? Bacteria counts? Water looked green? Wasn’t an unkept motel hot tub in Albert Lea MN recently the cause of Some serious problems? Shower @ The pool & hot tub area also didn’t work. Pool / Hot tub area door has a door propped open to the outdoor patio. There’s actually a pipe in a concrete base that is handy right there to prop this door open. Safety? Outsiders can come right in ? Kids could end up in the pool area or out in the back parking lot. There appears to be a nice maintenance garage/building, separated from the main motel building - that’s been turned into avalable (ghetto motel) rooms? I saw a couple being told where there room was and they just laughed. I thought it was a joke but it was where their room was. Looks like at least 3 rooms over in the shed/garage. It is in the back corner of the lot, behind the main motel. Breakfast was average. Again, sorta ghetto but I ate it. I would be surprised if this is a franchised place much longer. The new owners do not appear to do maintenance. Here’s a pic of our bathroom ceiling. The exhaust fan or heat lamps where totally missing and I could see up into the ceiling cavity. That’s what I mean by ghetto. I feel like I got robbed at $194, for this $39/night experience.
