YUANLI HOTEL

I booked two hotels for this trip, and this was the first one. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant when I first arrived at the entrance, as it's located in a residential area. But once I went inside, it was truly small yet exquisite. It was very comfortable and clean, with a well-thought-out layout. Although the breakfast didn't have many varieties, it tasted great. I really didn't want to leave this place! It felt more personable and cleaner than the second hotel I stayed at, which was in the same price range. It's a shame I missed the complimentary afternoon tea, but the owner said I could still get it. Unfortunately, I had day tours every day, so I didn't get a chance to make it up, haha. Owner, remember to give me my afternoon tea next time I visit!

The room is spacious and thoughtfully arranged, perfect for staying right by the city wall, as the pictures clearly show. Minibar: The Bingfeng sour plum juice was delicious. Ambiance: Absolutely beautiful, every spot is photo-worthy. Excellent value for money, right across from the city wall, with several city wall gates just a 5-10 minute walk away. There's also a morning market nearby, as well as Xiangzi Temple and the Stele Forest Museum. Service: Everyone was incredibly nice. They brought us fruit, afternoon tea, and a late-night dessert of white fungus soup. The hotel also offers private dining with great options like Biangbiang noodles and rice wine. We even got a room discount on our first dinner order. For breakfast, they have individual coffee served by the staff! Definitely a plus!!! Just a small point for improvement: some room corners were a bit disappointing, perhaps overlooked during cleaning after a long period of rain. That's the only minor letdown.
