Tang Dynasty Art Garden Hotel

Very romantic. This was a most mesmerizing stay. It felt like being in the house of a literati or Chinese poet. The building is traditional with a bamboo orchard, three courtyards, one with a statue, one with a little fountain and birds and a third with a covered space where one can eat or meet. There are may red lanterns and lots of Chinese calligraphy of important poets on the walls in the corridors and in the rooms. The rooms are furnished with traditional Chinese furniture. Furniture looks a bit used but that adds to the charme. The hotel is next to the Giant Wild Goose pagoda and not far from the Great Tang Mall with lots of activities, monuments and shops in traditional looking Chinese buildings. Everything is grandios. Despite te any activities taking place outside the hotel, inside it is quiet and serene. Twice there was a young lady playing the guqin in the courtyard. The staff of the hotel are extremely nice, forthcoming and helpful even though they hardly speak foreign languages. I felt very much taken care of and at home. I did not try the restaurant. Every room has a small fried, water heater and some tea bags. I will recommend this hotel to friends I really care about as this experience is unique.

No hotel can bit this hotel on location and environment. The hotel is located on the heart of Xi’an, and one can literally see the tower of wild goose m, the iconic building of Xi’an in the yard of the hotel, and the tower is the next neighbor. One can also walk to subway, and the famous Shaanxi History Museum. The hotel is in transitional building style, blending well to the neighbors. The services are good but not to the best. The room is clean. I always stay in this hotel when I or my family visit Xi’an, highly recommended.

Bathroom is way too small. Wooden tub take up the whole shower area. Take effort to get in and out of tub. Floor is slippery and there is no stool for one to step on to get out of tub safety My friend's room got mosquitoes

a very unusal hotel, where the guest rooms open to a series of beautifully landscaped courtyards. Its in the middle of a major tourist and local attraction, so there is always something interesting going on immediately outside. Very peaceful. The staff are very attentive, and the amenities are wonderful. I found a great small restaurant just outside, and the breakfast bar was always ample and delicious. I will be back to Xian regularly, and this is where I will stay. Simply no comparison to other more modern hotels.
