Kempinski Hotel Xiamen

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the lake, making it convenient to get around, especially being close to MixC. The service is also good, and the lobby feels grand. We booked a lake view room, and the view from the window was lovely. As for the room itself, one word: spacious! The breakfast was quite abundant as well. However, the hotel is definitely showing its age. The room facilities are outdated, and the room design is quite impractical – there's a painting awkwardly placed in the full-length mirror. The internet speed was also very slow, and there was no LAN cable provided. When I asked the front desk for one at night, they said the engineering staff had already left for the day. Overall, the hotel still offers decent value for money.

This hotel is conveniently located by Yuandang Lake, making it easy to access by metro or taxi. Some reviews mentioned it being old, but honestly, I didn't find that to be the case at all during my stay. The lobby and rooms are exceptionally well-maintained, and the layout shows excellent taste. Breakfast was abundant, with thoughtfully designed dishes – the Shacha noodles were absolutely fantastic. Overall, it's a hotel that's definitely worth staying at.

On another business trip to Xiamen, I once again chose the Kempinski. The room was spacious and bright, clean and comfortable, and I could even enjoy a beautiful sunset from my room. I will definitely come back again.

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! Not only did they upgrade us for free to a lake-view room with a stunning view – opening the window revealed the sparkling lake of Bailuzhou Park, and at night we could enjoy the incredible night view of Sea World – but from the moment we walked in, we felt an unparalleled level of attentive service. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and they were especially patient and kind with our child. The biggest surprise was when the front desk lady saw we had a little one and immediately offered cute cartoon balloons, which our child adored throughout the trip.

This hotel was recommended by my relatives, and it truly lived up to expectations! The service was excellent, and the room was spotless. The views were beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. All the staff members were very polite. I'll definitely be back!

For this price point in Xiamen, it offers excellent value for money. It's worth mentioning that the Japanese Teppanyaki on the second floor is great value; the 129 yuan single set meal offers a generous amount of food.
