The room floor is covered in dust, and there are a lot of flies near a chicken farm downstairs. The front desk area really needs tidying up; it's too messy. "An absolutely amazing stay! The road up the mountain was a bit winding, but once we arrived, it felt just like coming home. The homemade fruit wines, in various flavors, were all excellent. The restaurant alone was a highlight, but the room was also stunning. The cleanliness was top-notch, and thoughtful touches like disposable toilet seat covers and razors were very useful. The hot spring design was great, allowing you to soak and watch the moon. Just remember to start filling it in advance. The views were absolutely breathtaking – we could see mountains, a sea of clouds, rainbows, and blue skies, with convenient viewing seats provided. There might be small insects in the mountains at night, but a mosquito coil quickly took care of them, within about five minutes. Clean, delicious, and beautiful – this is a hidden gem of a guesthouse that I would definitely visit again!"

Siguniang Mountain Starry Peak Moonlit Cliff Retreat（Changping Valley）
"This hotel is incredibly stylish. It feels super high-end, with Marshall speakers throughout and L'Occitane toiletries in every room. The rooms even come with oxygen concentrators, and the owner upgraded us to a bathtub room, which offered truly breathtaking and healing views – we even saw the 'sunlit golden mountains' (rijin jinshan) in the morning. From the moment we arrived, we experienced truly VIP service. The owner personally drove us everywhere, probably five or six round trips in a single day. In the afternoon, when we went out to take photos, the staff brought us a fruit platter and kept us supplied with drinks, including Rhodiola rosea tea and ginger ale. The owner even tried to get some sparklers for our photos, but they burned out in a second – a funny little incident. What touched us most was that it was the winter solstice on the day we checked in. Since we weren't going down the mountain that evening, the staff brought us dumplings. They were so delicious that I had two plates! When I offered to pay, they said it was complimentary, which made me feel a little embarrassed. Furthermore, when we left, the owner drove us to Shuangqiao Valley without any extra charge, even though it's typically 30 RMB per person, the same as outside services. They even helped us transfer our luggage to our second guesthouse. The owner is incredibly kind, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Overall, this hotel is absolutely amazing! Within a year, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and Europe, and even stayed in high-end chain hotels, but not a single one had service and facilities that could compare to Xing Shan Yue Ying. I truly didn't want to leave and it left me with the most wonderful memories. I wish the owner a prosperous business and hope to visit again!"

"We booked the deluxe room with valley view. The room is small than standard Chinese hotel rooms, but I assume the space in the valley is smaller, so rooms are more compact. The view on the valley is truly amazing. Smart toilet, smart curtains, bathtub with view and oxygen improver round up the amenities in the room. The staff is friendly. The breakfast takes place in the hotel nearby, so not offered directly on the spot (this was on may 2026, maybe it changes in high season). Negative point are the parking area, which is a small common area behind the hotel (not private, so in high season could be complicated) and the cleaning of the room could be improved. Good for 1 night, but I wouldn’t do longer."

"This guesthouse in Siguniang Mountain was absolutely the perfect choice for my trip! Room 2 on the first floor gets incredible light, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides. On a sunny day, the room is bathed in sunlight, and you can enjoy the mountain views right from inside. I set an alarm for 7 AM, and after drawing the curtains, I got to see the 'golden peaks' bathed in the morning sun. Then I just went back to sleep – pure bliss! The diffuse oxygen concentrator in the room was a lifesaver! Both my husband and I had mild altitude sickness, but after turning it on, our symptoms completely disappeared, and we slept incredibly soundly through the night. The room also came with a coffee machine and tea set. The decor and little details were all so tasteful; it felt like the owner and I shared the same aesthetic. In the evening, we watched movies on the huge projector – the mountain surroundings were so quiet and therapeutic, making us feel completely relaxed. The guesthouse is located on the mountain, and the service from the staff was exceptionally warm and thoughtful. As soon as we arrived, he proactively helped us with our luggage and tidied the room. After we finished sightseeing, he would come down the mountain to pick us up and drop us off. The whole experience was effortless and heartwarming. The breakfast was exquisite and abundant, and the wontons and noodles for dinner were absolutely delicious – some of the best I've had in Sichuan. There's also a small courtyard outside where you can sunbathe and enjoy the mountain breeze; it's incredibly comfortable. This was by far the most satisfying accommodation of my entire trip to Western Sichuan. No doubt about it. Next time I come to Siguniang Mountain, I'll definitely choose this place again!"

About Xiaojin
Xiaojin County sits in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of western Sichuan, at the foot of the Qionglai Mountains.
