The manager of this hotel sally was amazing. She speaks fantastic english and helped us in directions, picking up from airport, booking the trains, and when we lost our baggage in the Airport she went out of her way to help, in alloting the rooms, 10 Star service by her. amazing person and would love to visit. this charming city again and stay in the same Hotel. Location is damn good and her service is amazing. Thank you sally very much from all of us from the Team of 10 people.

Only stayed one night, but the hotel was great, the staff were helpful, and the ginger tea they give as a welcome drink was lovely. Comfy bed and hot shower are always great. The little toiletries were good quality as well. While I may not go back to Xining again, I would definitely stay at a Hampton by Hilton again. 😀

I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

After checking out with my luggage, a spirited guy in a uniform coat asked me if I wanted to take a taxi after going downstairs. After I said yes, he stood on the side of the road and started to help me take a taxi. There was still some snow, and the weather was very cold while the snow was melting. I'll take a taxi by myself, but he said it's all right, and he continued to help me take a taxi. After getting the taxi, he helped me move the suitcase to the trunk and said goodbye politely. I was very moved and enjoyed the treatment of a five-star hotel. It's a pity that this time I went out early and returned late this time in a hurry. There was breakfast for two days when I renewed at the front desk, but I didn't have time to eat it. Next time I go back to Xining, I will stay here again, and I will eat and see again, haha. The design of the small refrigerator and the water bar was unreasonable and crowded! finally! When I left, I left something in the room. I called to confirm. The hotel actually told us that we didn't find our things when cleaning the room. Forget it, it's not a particularly valuable thing, but I have to write this feeling! Hope the hotel can strengthen management! The only advantage is that the room has a bathtub, which the kids love!

I felt like I was at home. The second hotel I stayed in this trip, the location of the hotel is very good, the downtown area is very lively, the hotel has a parking lot downstairs, if there is no place downstairs, you can find the uncle security guard, you can park the car in the underground parking lot, there are plenty of parking spaces.
