The best hotel in Xining! 🏨 I used my Ctrip points to get it for just over 300 RMB, haha, what a steal! It also included breakfast for two. The breakfast spread 🍳 was extensive, with lots of choices, plus milk, eggs, and fermented rice wine available to drink.

Staying here in Xining was great; the location is super convenient, with plenty of shopping malls, restaurants, and bars nearby. It's definitely the trendiest and most vibrant spot around. The hotel maintained the usual high standards of an Accor Sofitel. The housekeeping staff did a good job, though the front desk was a bit unremarkable. The gym, pool, and sauna are all available, which is a plus. However, it would have been even more perfect if there was a hot tub.

The location is very convenient, and the room is clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The staff are enthusiastic, and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The environment is quiet, and I'd be happy to stay here again. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I stayed at both of the top-rated hotels in Xining, and my verdict is that this one is far more comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, and the bathtub even has a TV, which the kids absolutely loved! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xining.

The room interiors, appliances, and bathroom fixtures show clear signs of age and general wear, lacking proper renovation and maintenance. The breakfast experience was quite disappointing. The selection wasn't extensive, and what really impacted the experience was that most hot dishes were lukewarm throughout, indicating very poor insulation, which significantly detracted from the taste. On the bright side, the service deserves commendation. The front desk and concierge staff were warm, friendly, and highly responsive. They were very patient during check-in and with inquiries, showing great attention to detail. Overall, the hotel excels in service and its retro aesthetic, but there's significant room for improvement in both hardware and breakfast quality.

Stayed at Xining's No. 1 hotel, and was immediately drawn to the Thangka art on the first floor. It's also the hotel for China Eastern Airlines crews. The suite had everything you could ask for, even thoughtful touches like toilet seat covers and complimentary watermelon juice. This is the most prestigious hotel in Xining, and getting to stay at a Sofitel for this price is incredible value for money. The Eiffel Tower replica that greets you in the lobby is quite striking, and the overall French decor is elegant and stylish. From the room window, you get an unobstructed panoramic view of the entire Xining city skyline.

It’s ok if you don’t want to sleep. Room too hot so we opened the window although it didn’t help much. Fireworks went off all night starting at 3:00am. Extensive breakfast selection.

We extended our stay for another night. My husband developed a fever and his blood pressure rose due to altitude sickness. Early in the morning, I was going out to buy him some medicine. When I asked the front desk, the staff member was incredibly helpful and called nearby pharmacies to check if they were open. After taking emergency medication, we went straight to the hospital. Because of his fever, he was fast-tracked for an immediate consultation, as the situation was quite urgent. Thankfully, the medication worked quickly, and he improved significantly within half a day. The hotel was also very thoughtful and provided a blood pressure monitor for us to use. I'm truly grateful to everyone who helped us during this time. May good people always be safe and well.
